No action from ebay after notified that the watch was "stollen" is disgusting to say the least!!

I would definitely consider mark the watches as stolen at at the correct websites and letting him know too.

I have a screenshot as evidence about notifying eBay and even eBay messages to Kostas to remove my 5513 from auction 🙁

Are you perhaps being sarcastic? You really defending this subhuman and trying to be PC??

This is a pic he sent me threatening to brawl with debt collectors (and threatening to injure Kent Police officers) if I send them to his house!
Is that a G Shock he is wearing? If so I think he means business!

Are you Mike?

As others have said, I’m not surprised in the slightest at this. He started out at a lower level, selling known redials etc as original, with his vomit inducing descriptions, in the hope of snagging an unsuspecting buyer.

Seems he’s now graduated from the Horology House school of watch dealing.

Had a similar issue few years back when I thought he was a honest dealer. We did a trade after I sent my watch and he received the watch I was contacted and told I was scamming him as my watch was a relume. Contacted and said sorry even though I knew it wasn’t. Then he wanted me to add $500 to fix my relume so he could relume again... I informed him to send my watch back. After that he came back and said he will just send the watch I wanted originally. The watch was serviced by his watchmaker.... hell no it was not lost about 10 mins in 12 hours. Contacted to have my original watch sent back to me and communication went silent.

Yeah standard Kostas that.

Not sure how it works in the Uk, but if he were in the US and were selling stolen items and shipping through he mail, that's mail fraud- a federal crime. If you can figure out who got your 5513, and by what means it was shipped, you could possibly prove it. It may not be as satisfying as getting him for theft, but Al Capone went down for tax evasion.

And I don't know Kostas and his malfeasance were before my time here, but I'm sure he's reading this-
Sir- you have been outted, this is the time to scramble and get everything back to from whom it came, you will be caught, it won't go well for you- your time in the watch community is limited.

I know some members shy away from doing so on a public forum and there are of course two sides to every story, but I’m a big believer in naming and shaming dishonest people. Most of us had an immediate gag reflex remembering his over caffeinated posts here. Thanks to the OP for making this a headline and cautionary tale. Sorry this happened and I hope you recover your assets.

Agreed. If this were just a glorified yelp review of poor customer service, then thanks for the feedback- noted.
If it were a claim of a crime without evidence against a vendor, then baseless accusations shouldn't be supported and the post should be deleted- we don't want to support grudge matches that should be handled privately.
But if the OP has a paper trail of a crime, then that's worthy of community awareness as a cautionary to others.

edit- per my comments above, I do need to ask the uncomfortable question to the OP @Vasigan - although the reputation of Kostas is well known in this community as being shady, do you have a paper trail showing that he commited a crime or that you entered into an agreement with him by which he didn't fulfill his end? Not trying to cast any doubt on your side of the story, but if this community is going to pile on- the claims need be substantiated.

Yes I have a plethora of evidence. As an example, see my screenshot in the thread asking him on eBay to retract the auction of my 5513

I saw the screenshot, it only has your comments and nothing from him. I am asking if you have a contract or written emails from him specifying that he would broker your watch and return money to you once the sale has completed, or something to that effect.

Perfect- can't speak for the rest of the forum but I just wanted to make sure that if I am partaking in the public outing of someone- that the claims can be substantiated.
I hope you can nail this guy to the wall.

He is a professional con artist. In the message thread below he mentions my “threats” - by threats it’s actually me asking for my money which is overdue and sending a registered private investigator to his house to recover my property. He effectively wants me to shut up and accept all his made-up costs and be paid when he sells another victim’s watch. He is a professional scammer and knows all the tricks in the book - I am up to the task in bringing him to book legally.

Well, that's not very professional 😲

Yes, there's already plenty of information out there about him, and it's always good to do your due diligence before sending valuable items to strangers. The current thread will be one more to add to the list, but it won't help people unless they do the search.
