This one didn’t originate from an OB posting. I have many that might qualify as a “best find”, but this one is my very best find. I was searching my stash for a part for a brother in the trade. It was an Omega bumper centre wheel for a sweep seconds hand he needed. I had one. While searching a lozenge tin labeled OMEGA by my late father, I uncovered the dial you see in the picture. Delving further, I uncovered a complete caliber355, date at 6, bumper Omega from about 65 years ago. It had been in that lozenge tin, in pieces, for approximately 50 years. Missing only a case which @Tritium , an occasional OB poster was able to supply. The case came from Madrid, Spain! I worked my magic, and this was the result. Not presently on my wrist.

Mmmmm
RN SM300 £1500
2 x 2998 Speedies (one a FAP) for £8000
Omani engraved Speedmaster £900

Had better deals but not Omega.
Of course this is all in hindsight.
Easy now.

This presumably 80s-90s Record Valjoux 88 that was mixed in with a bunch of quartz pieces. Not the best but it just came in for me a couple days ago. Was ecstatic about the condition, now does anyone know someone that can service a triple calendar chronograph in the GTA area? Shame the renowned Shane Ede has taken the rest of 2020 off, but who wouldn't.

I was lucky to find this one on a local Criagslist. I haven't see another Tiffany branded ref 866 before or since then.

Finding a vintage Seamaster or Speedmaster is one thing, but finds with military history are on another level.

Please share any photos of the Seamaster and Speedmaster(s) if you can 🥰
