    Hello,

I don't know why but when it comes to a vintage watch, i can't imagine a better one than a nice Omega. I'm a guy who needs to wear big size watches like 44mm - 46mm. What would your suggestions be for me? I'd be happy to read your opinions with pictures of the watches together. My bucket will be up to $3 - $4k

    Thanks.

Too small for you. Buy one of the remakes, they have enough vintage feel.

The picture of that Marine at quick glance looks like an Apple Watch :)

There's not that many big vintage pieces but Flightmaster might be something to look at.

What comes to mind inn this size and vintage wise would be the Ploprof. But that would require you to step up your budget by another 2-3k.

You could try the elusive 125 Speedmaster. they were supposed to be a limited run to celebrate omegas anniversary back in the 70's. Certain members here allude towards a conspiracy where the original run may have extended without any official notification. In any case they are HUGE...and sit even higher than a speedy Mark III...not to everyone's taste though...

What i'm looking for is a casual one more than a sport model. It needs to have a sharp dial with a simple design.

    No.

If you want something in a 40mm plus case, that is not a dive watch, or a chronograph, you need to be looking at watches produced in the late 1960s into the 1970s - and even then your options are very limited.

Seamaster 200 banana. You will need to be patient to find a nice one. The important thing is to buy one with the correct 1171 bracelet and that the bezel is in good condition as you can not find replacements easily, if at all. Expect to pay within your budget for a nice one.

I love vintage Omega watches and fortunately I don't have your problems of large wrist or having to spare between $3 - $4k :cool:. In any case, all kidding aside, just a question; why not vintage Speedmaster Professional possibly largest of all Omega vintage at 42mm!

Watchco Seamaster 300. Not strictly vintage but cheaper than an original and can be worn without damage paranoia.
