You know HeyJoe at AW?
I don't know him on a personal level but I have interacted with him in the past when he was running the Tomcat Sunset Forum. I also have one of his books and his Tomcat pictures are everywhere.

What did I miss? Anything good?
I will say though, it was a nice 2 weeks.
My wife and I (well mostly her) had our second child so I too some time off work to be with them.
I also decided to take a (mostly) 2 week break from anything internet and social media.
It was magical.
What was once created as a tool to bring people together (I'm primarily talking about Facebook), has been pretty much weaponized, and has caused so much division. It is just an awful place to be.
I couldn't have picked a better time for a black out...election time.
But all good things must come to an end and now I'm back lol.
So yeah, what'd I miss?

Congrats on the new baby!

@Canuck saved a few politicians' hides by fixing a 110 year old clock in the city hall tower.

Hear the waiting list is Only 9 months compared to Rolex 18-24 months 馃榿

Yes, but the AD doesn't *usually stand on your bladder and make you carry them around for 9months. They just make you buy high dollar bling to get the tool watch you really want.

Well it happened again. Was gone for 2 weeks.
No baby this time, but instead our office got hit with a ransomware attack and our system had been down for what would have been 2 weeks to the day, today. And yes I only check OF at work ha, so hopefully it did not come from here 馃槖
So, did I miss anything good?
Anyone what to know some details on a PYSA ransomware attack? lol

Yes, everyone got their Snoopy, and Omega compensated each buyer with $2000 for their trouble.

Invicta bought Rolex and has relegated them under the Glycine line. The Rolex for Target line is their first new roll-out.

Hondinkee has released their newest offering, a pocket sun dial- MSRP is $22k and limited to 5k pieces. Has Super Luminova so you can see it in the dark.

Seiko, in an effort to be competitive with Rolex prior to the Invicta acquisition, has decided to stop production of all watches below the $5k price point, Grand Seiko is now their entry level and wait lists extend beyond 2035. We don鈥檛 even know what they are offering yet- but people want it.

Omega, in an effort to appeal to Gen Z buyers, has rebranded the Speedmaster as the Paceminder. Speed is threatening and may trigger feelings of loss of control, and master implies superiority which is judgmental. It runs slow as being on time is no longer relevant and the counter only goes to 2 minutes, 20 seconds which is the maximum length of a Twitter video.

I'm amazed that OP only checks OF on company time at work. No cell phone, no tablet, no laptop, no home computer, just goldbricking on someone elses dime. Nice work if you can get it.

What, you have a problem with the obvious?

So it's obvious to you that when he checks this site, it's not during his lunch time, before work starts, or at other personal time allotted at work? It's obvious to you that he works at a place where they don't allow him to check personal sites on company time, as long as he gets the work done or makes up the time?

I also am a part owner of the family business soooo...........
OF is my mental smoke break!

And for what it is worth, I don't usually mind if I see one of our 75 employees browsing on the internet.
As long as they get their work done and have a good attitude, I give them freedom to do what they want...to a point.
However we may be cracking down on some internet usage given what has just happened.

I found Aldrin's Speedmaster while you were gone. Jimmy Hoffa had it. Found him too. Wasn't good.

Lol I'm not trying to give anyone a hard time. There is obviously no way for anyone to know what I do. But I guess having said that, one should not assume.

But anyway yeah if anyone needs any building materials or fabricated rebar hit me up.
