    Hi,

I'll be in Minneapolis (Eden Prairie) for 2 weeks starting September, 24
Coming from France to a technical training (I'm FSE) for a new job I started 3 months ago.
I'm looking for any recommandation , especially for the weekend I'll spend there.

I would have propose a GTG but I'll certainly travel only with a daily beater as my job is not safe for watches and I don't really want to carry them only to leave them in a room's safe for 2 weeks. (it would be like going alone to a swinger party, right?)

Thanks in advance for your advices

    Yves

Perhaps we could match you up with a Redbar meeting while here. The local group is quite active and often meets in the evening. Transportation would not be an issue.

Redbar is a group of watch enthusiasts that meets to discuss, show watches in a social environment. Alcohol is involved

That would be great, Redbar meetings have reached Paris, I just didin't participate yet.
If alcohol is involved it's even better, my english isn't great but always improves after few glasses, I can even speak languages I didn't know before :)
Just keep me updated if anything happens during my stay.

Drop me a DM. We will probably have as Meet Up the end of September.

Here is my list of recommendations:

Overall: cabs suck, skip the light rail. Über or Lyft everywhere. I refuse to send you to the Mall of America (unless you want Shake Shack)

    Watches:
    - JB Hudson - Downtown - Ask for David - good preowned section, Omega, Grand Seiko, IWC, Oris, Nomos, and a few others
    - The Loupe by JB Hudson - locates in Martin Patrick 3 - Ask for Ed - good preowned section, smaller selection of the watches listed above
    - Continental Diamond - Saint Louis Park - Ask for Andy - some preowned, Omega, Breitling, G-Shock and some others.
    - Wixon - Bloomington - Ask for Dustin - Rolex, Patek, Tudor, Panerai, JLC, Parmigani

    Food:
    North Loop - by Askov
    - Spoon and Stable
    - Bar Lagrassa
    - Smack Shack
    - Hewing Hotel - Tulibee
    - Bachelor Farmer and Marvel
    Bar - Eric Dayton’s place
    - Parlour Bar - basement of Bourough (skip the upstairs
    Downtown MPLS
    - Butcher and Boar
    - Manny’s
    - 4 Bells (by Loring Park)
    Grand Ave in Saint Paul
    - The Lexington
Downtown Saint Paul (it’s only 8 miles away)
    - Saint Paul Grill, I’m the Saint Paul hotel.
    Breweries or Distilleries
    - you name it! What do you like?
    Other Shopping
    - Martin Patrick 3- North Loop
    - Askov Finlayson
    - If you can find time Heimie’s Haberdashery but that’s in downtown Saint Paul.

    Holler with questions too!
