Basic Watch Knowledge for a Novice

Maybe this topic already exists elsewhere on this forum but I thought I'd go ahead and start a thread on a few links I've found helpful to learn about watches.

This is basic knowledge for a watch novice like me, potentially boring stuff for people with more experience.

The first link is on the Limited Editions of Omega Speedmaster watches over the years. Not sure this is the best source of information, but I found it useful to see pictures of each one and what years they were made.

Here is a web page describing the various types of Watch Hands that have been used by different manufacturers. For example, what are Dauphine Hands?
https://monochrome-watches.com/hands-time-guide-names-used-watch-hands/

A website for entering a Speedmaster's Movement Number to estimate the Product Date of the watch. Works for Moonwatches with Calibers 321, 861, and 1861 only.
https://www.ilovemyspeedmaster.com/productiondateprediction/

Website that attempts to track Speedmaster prices. Seems to be updated a few times a year. Useful general information for a novice, probably lots of cases where real world prices might be different.
https://speedmaster101.com/price-chart-2/

I'm sure there are a lot more websites (or threads on OF) the experts on here could recommend for a novice to read. For example, I really like this thread for Omega specific topics:
https://omegaforums.net/threads/omega-watch-resource-information-service-repairs-parts-suppliers.52/

I'll also mention how good the Search Function is here on OF. I have used it quite a bit so far.

If you have links to other basic watch knowledge websites, please add them as comments.
Thanks.

Ordnance Maintenance: Wrist Watches, Pocket Watches, Stop Watches, and Clocks

Gives some information about what was in use in WWII, but also a tutorial in the basics of watch servicing. Not recommended as a course but rather so you can get an idea of what your watchmaker does and perhaps ask intelligent questions.

Also very helpful is the site-specific search function on Google.
Just type for example: "FOIS site(colon)omegaforums.net" and you will get many information regarding the First Omega In Space here in the forum.
