I would take the grey dial with blue hands, blue bezel and bracelet any given day.🥰

I love the new design! I think that this will be my first proper watch.
Does anyone knows what is the service cost of the new in-house movement 8800, is it way more expensive than 2500? Thanks.

NOPE! I can’t bring myself to take it off - it’s actually made me question the need for other watches 🤨

I've worn mine for 3 weeks continuously, and a box full of Speedmaster's is not getting any wrist time.

I manage to try the blue dial with rubber strap today at an AD in Amsterdam. The blue is beautiful, the wave dial is more subtle than in pictures, which I like. I like the markers. They are more protruding, which I like as they create more 3D vibe. I like the hands better than the previous version. The rubber is comfortable, so I don't mind getting the one with rubber strap. Too bad they don't have the black version. At 42mm, I was worried it would be too big for my wrist, but turns out it was still ok. I hope I can pull the trigger next year when I have the budget for it (I already used this year watch budget for 2 watches 😗)

I took the plunge and bought the black dial on steel bracelet from the Leeds OB today. I phoned them yesterday to discover they had just that day taken delivery of one (yes one) of this reference. I asked them to put it aside for me and when I arrived, they had had two people phone after me, and a guy came in the shop while I was there looking for this particular reference; so glad I phoned ahead and got them to put it aside for me. The OB told me that they are only getting delivery of one of each reference at a time. When they sell it, they have to wait for the next delivery. So it seems they are still pretty scarce, at least in the provinces.

It’s early days, but I’m loving the watch. It’s 42mm x 13 mm but it nestles low on my wrist - my shirt cuff clears it with ease. The new lug and end-link design makes for an extremely comfortable wear. The micro adjustment enables a precise fit. The bezel has a really nice action and turns pretty easily. From an aesthetic perspective, it absolutely pops; it’s beautiful, at least to me. The precision engineering of the case, the dial, the bracelet, the clasp is amazing for the price. Looking forward to a long relationship with this fantastic watch.

Visited my local AD since I was curious how the wave dial looked in person. They said they had received 2 so far - both in blue. One with bracelet and one with strap. They only had the strap one left since the manager bought the bracelet one. I agree with what some people have said here. The waves are subtle when not under direct bright light. The Reese helium valve isn't as big of a deal as I though in pictures. I don't miss the applied Omega logo on the dial. It actually makes the logo easier to see under bright light conditions. A shiny white gold logo reflects light and just makes it harder to see at certain angles. Compare the original white lettering Brosnan SMP to the gold applied Craig SMP and you'll know what I mean. Even though it's a bit larger, it still works for my 6 1/4" wrist. I'm going to order a bracelet for this thing as soon as they become available.

Great photos! I'm three weeks into my blue dial version and it's been my absolute daily wear. Can't take this thing off! So comfortable and so beautiful to look at...

I feel that it’s good of omega to go and update the seamaster but I feel the new watch still just looks as outdated as the old one. Just an opinion I am not deliberately trying to offend anyone.

If they carry it long enough, the design will be timeless. Works for Rolex 😉

Omega won't leave well enough alone. They have to keep changing the design or introduce new models every year. The only thing that stays the same as the Speedmaster Professional.

But they can try from now on to only change the SMP design slowly. Its not like it it set on stone already that they will always keep changing the SMP design.

Hi guys, starting to fell in love with the blue one with your pictures... Thanks!
One question: does anyone know if a folding clasp can be adapted on the rubber strap?
Thanks again!

I don't think so. I think for rubber strap, your only option is to use buckle

No. You need to use the rubber strap and buy the buckle for it as well. Cost about 270 euro

Blue is the original but I have to say that black is the way to go. I liked the last model in blue.

There's so much to like about these watches, but I can't take to those hands at all.
