I came from an era when lunch was a baloney or cheese sandwich,
Wow, that looks better than what I eat on most days.
Where do you pack his silver spoon? 😜
I came from an era when lunch was a baloney or cheese sandwich, some chips, maybe a banana, and a Twinkie, in a brown paper bag. Milk was 2¢ (white or chocolate). Then we would go out to the playground for 20 minutes to rough house with friends. Good times. Now it is ultra complicated to be a kid.
Wow, my respect for the amount of care and work you put into lunches. I'm also in Park Slope and my kids get a ham and cheese sandwich, a handful of grapes, and a few pretzels or crackers, all in ziplock baggies, pitched into a lunch sack.I
do have to ask: does your 8 year old actually eat all that? If I sent that with my kids, it would come back with broccoli, carrots, chickpeas, and tomatoes untouched.
