This turned up on my doorstep this morning.

Seagull Chronograph with patent regulator, domed Sapphire glass and exhibition back mounted on a nice silicone strap.

Very pleased, exceeded my expectations.

Although not arrived, I ordered the Lorier Falcon SIII yesterday. Will make an excellent Christmas gift for my field loving (and field living) son.

A cool sterling silver Vacheron Constantin with Breguet numerals and a very rare Solothurn watchmaking school chronograph! 馃グ

It all came at once. The timegrapher actually came yesterday unexpected.

There is a watch in here somewhere. I have been waiting for weeks for the Tissot. The dial is actually one of my favorite shades of blue. Which is the sky just before dawn breaks,

The cheap 1342 may have water damage. Looks like it has a motor and that is the critical thing. This may get it's own thread.

The chrono parts look to be mostly a Val-22 with a bunch of landeron parts mixed in. This also will get it's own thread, Most of the 22 looks to be there. Balance looks decent. Surprised the main plate is marked 48 as well as 22. The landeron parts may have made this look overpriced.

Five watches for the price of 5 What more can one ask.

Rabbit hole threads here I come ...

Was after a summer beater on a bracelet and when I saw this trans global from smiths I couldn't resist the chance to get an affordable polarouter that I could wear whilst cutting the grass in the rain! On the whole I like it but readability in low light is quite poor (for my aging eyes anyway). Part of me wishes I'd gone for the aventurine one instead. Still, for the money I really can't complain and it looks great in the sunlight.

wedding anniversary is coming up, and i have always wanted to try my hand at servicing one of those ultra small movements so killing 2 birds with one stone picked up this little gem (sapphette even) for the missus.
for those not familiar with japanese currency the movement is 15mm across, and thats a regular 3861 speedy

Wow, that's a huge size difference. I can't imagine how small the components will be. Better break out the microscope.

I have the same combo. Although my sapphette has eight little diamonds. It is a amazing how these two complement each other.

Part of the reason I took an 18 year break from watchmaking, was I needed to replace the mainspring. In the process I lost the click, then broke the incabloc spring. so had to buy a parts movement. And the cycle continues...

it was in fact your post some time back that had me interested in the sapphette as I hadn't realised there were smaller movements, unfortunately it seems those even smaller hand wind only models weren't sold in Japan as I cannot find any here.

Do you still have the barrel from your donor 660 movement? I have been trying to work out if i need a smaller mainspring winder or not and haven't had much luck identifying the size online so far.

Bought this a while back from Japan (Closer yet again), but only picked up from my wife's parents' place recently. Loving it! Likely grab a 19mm alligator flank strap in the upcoming Black Friday sales to gussy it up...
