Wanted a Chronostop for years. Did some research and bought one. It arrived today. Now I need to find the elusive mesh bracelet!
Very nice, love the strap.

Had been wanting a green watch which I was hoping was going to be a Submariner (was supposedly on a waiting list at local AD, whether I actually was or not is debatable) but with the recent discontinuation and excessive secondary market price (I feel that description applied even before the discontinuation, obviously even more so afterwards) I no longer saw that as a realistic option. I came across the new Seiko "Alpinist" (SPB121) previously when they were released earlier this year and instantly liked the watch aesthetics, history, and price point but didn't really think there was room for two green watches and was holding out for the Hulk. The new green SPB121s are apparently now sold out but came across a gently used one with an extra OEM Seiko steel bracelet (it usually comes on brown alligator leather I'm not a huge fan of) online for a good price from a private seller. It's was inexpensive enough that I felt I could just buy it without overthinking the purchase. Also allowed me to dip my toes in the reddit watchexchange pool (I've only bought new or from dealers previously) and get a mechanical Seiko which was another checkbox on my collection list.

I like it a lot, it's a bit smaller than my other watches which are all 41-43.5mm Omegas. The compass is a cool feature, albeit of questionable utility although I don't really use my GMT or chronograph complications either... I just appreciate them as interesting. The green is subtle and dynamic, depending on the lighting and angle often looks black. I could do without the cyclops, but it doesn't bother me.

I’ve had a hankering for an Alpinist for a couple years now. The green with gold hardware really does it for me. You have good taste, sir.

thanks 😀 I think its a nice watch in all its colors IMO but the green/gold combo pairs very nicely and is pretty unique.

Today after a month, I received my daughter’s Christmas present. She wears and likes watches, her boyfriend as well. Both full on millennials babies. Maybe with this vintage Parker, I can foster the Hobby. Is running no real service history, so a service and new strap but the patina on this is awesome.

Impulse buy Seiko 6139-7070. Bought yesterday afternoon and was delivered in super quick time. Box was a bonus as I didn’t even know it was coming with one. Just needs a new crystal to show off the interesting layered dial. Great start to the weekend 😀
