Back in the mid 1990s I would gaze at the Tag Heuer display in a jewellers in my home city of Swansea. The Tag F1 caught my eye and my father always wanted a Tag 2000 exclusive. When he had his 40th birthday my mother gifted him one and he still wears it today.

Now around this time I was a pretty useful amateur schoolboy boxer. I had a run of bouts (7-0)where I went on a winning streak and I was confident of winning the 1995 WABA championships. I persuaded my dad to promise to buy me a Tag F1 if I won it. I made the final but got robbed and as I didn't bring home the coveted Welsh vest that the champion was awarded I didn't get the Tag. I won the championships the following year but my interest had past and I didn't get the watch. This year inspired by the Kith re release I decided to scratch the itch of 30 years and I picked this up for £113 from an auction site. It's scuffed, bracelet is aftermarket but I finally got my Tag!

Bought 2 today.

Revue pocket watch and a very nice Roamer Mustang Indianapolis.
Both purchased for very little but very definitely bargains.

Have been on a minor vintage Roamer buying spree the last week and also bought a Felicia De luxe 25 jewel automatic Day Date ( working but missing crown) in the hope that there might be an AS1895/6 or similar movement inside that can provide parts to a Titoni Space King 999 project watch.

Would be a shame to end the life of the Felicia watch as it's quite attractive and wears well as can be seen in the sellers pic but at least it might aid in diagnosing what's required for the Space King.
Also attached a pick of the Space King as it arrived to me, it looks a lot better now however but at my WM so no pic.

Funky Seiko Lord Matic. Found at an antique centre in Salisbury UK. Quickset is buggered ( a flaw in the 5606 movement) but it keeps pretty good time.

Oh well back to the drawing board or as they say the search continues, not an AS1895/6 or derivative but an ETA 2789 🙁
Watch now currently residing at my WM for a replacement tube and crown and a proper lens polish, if it ends up looking ok I might give the go ahead to service it.

Well, I wasn’t going to buy any more watches and then, when scrolling through eBay, I thought this looked like a nice daily beater with which I wouldn’t have to bother with the date (and I liked the Seiko bracelet too) and for £82 I thought it a reasonably priced and good acquisition …

Well, it arrived and, to my surprise, for once the bracelet fits my skinny wrist without needing any adjustment 😀

I have one of these. Their great watches but sadly mind doesn't get much wrist time any more. The Seiko BOR bracelets are great too and I always but them when i see them at a reasonable price as they are so comfortable.

Thanks for hinting at the fact that the strap it came with is ugly. I‘ll swap it asap 😉

Nice, what brand is it?
Regular eBay ‘BoR curved ends 18mm’, old fashioned clasp, some with the Omega logo, some without, but all originate from China and cost around £12 - easy to size and comfortable to wear …
