Sometimes I bottom feed for junk watches... one of these looked good enough to buy the rest. Better picture when it shows up

Two recent acquisitions. Waiting for a couple of heavy hitters incoming, but these two I really am enjoying.

Just google “Tudor GMT date issue“. I think there has been a sporadic issue with the date wheels hanging up/not advancing properly. Tudor has not made any communication to say they’ve addressed the issue. They will take the watches back And fix them under warranty but a few owners have reported continued issues after they get the watch back and turnaround times from Tudor have not been quick.

The date advances 2 days at a time. There has indeed been no communication from Tudor about it, but from other owners (I am one myself, with the issue, but haven't sent it for service yet) I hear that they are implicitly covering it for any watch with the issue regardless of warranty status.

All evidence points to it being a design flaw rather than a manufacturing issue, so yes it does tend to happen again after service sometimes.

Even so, with a quickset date (spin the jump hour backwards a day) it's not that big an issue IMO - I'd like it to be fixed like anyone else but I enjoy wearing the watch too much to send it to an RSC for 3+ months right now.

Touch wood I've not had the problem, but only been wearing it 2 days.

For me it would be unacceptable & not fit for purpose, I would want a new watch or a refund & my PO back. This might sound harsh but a problem with the movement is serious. I bought a Ploprof in January & there was an issue with the clasp, which I was happy for Omega to replace as it had no affect on the guts of the piece.

I'm not sure if you mentioned, but did you buy it brand new? Even so, I'm not sure if Tudor has revised the movement at all or when that revision would have gone into production, so I hate to be the bearer of bad news but you're likely to experience it at some point. I bought mine new in December 2019 and the date issue started maybe 4 to 6 months later, can't remember when exactly.

Notably though I wear it in rotation, so if I have to change the date when I strap it on once a week at most, it's not as big a deal for me than I suppose it might be if it were my only daily wearer. (Even after not wearing it for a few weeks, I don't usually have to reset the time of course - timekeeping is excellent)
