I鈥檓 a new member here, and have been lurking for a while as well. I finally took the dive on a vintage watch, a 1968 Omega Seamaster Jumbo. It鈥檚 been serviced and runs like a champ. It came on the original bracelet, but it鈥檚 a bit tight on my wrist, so I put it on a Delugs strap. I鈥檓 super happy with it!

Continuing my resolution to only buy bigger pieces. This JLC Reverso Duoface 270.8.54 is from the early 2000s and measure 43mm x 26mm. It's the perfect size for my smaller wrist.

I looked at different variations of this Duoface and I like this one the best. The white face has the rectangular small seconds and the "Jaeger LeCoultre" is more readable compared to other versions that has it blended with the guilloche. The black dial has the 3, 9, and 12 markers which enhances the readability. I'm okay with the tritium lime color. I refer it to be a white color though.

The watch cost $6,500 plus tax, which is much cheaper than the new version at $13k.

I would love to get a JLC with a moonphase or other complications but those are just too big at 49mm.

Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase.

This is so absurd and I love it. How much did it cost to get the shroud?

Delivery yesterday!
Found it on an auction and just had to have it!

A really cool watch, but I don't know the reference...馃槜
So somebody might know it?

It feels like a far away cousin to the Speedy!??

Well, this arrived today. An eBay auction in which (to my surprise) I was the only bidder at $270. The seller described it as excellent and, now it鈥檚 arrived, I agree with him.

It has a long service inscription from 1974 and looks as though it has never been worn. The strap is a replacement but if anyone can tell me if the buckle is original or not, I鈥檇 be grateful. Given the condition of the watch, I鈥檓 inclined to say it is.

Blown away by this Wittnauer 7004 pickup. 馃槻
Sheesh! The dial, hands and bezel condition on that looks to be incredible! Not knockin' the case either, just can't really tell from the photos. Congrats!

Thank you! I feel very fortunate to have acquired this. The case is solid and sharp but not nearly as pristine as the rest.

This ref 2640 just arrived, nice size at 35.5mm diameter. It's basically the center-second version of the 2639. The highlight is the no-lume dial with contrasting outer ring and alternating gilt numerals and applied markers. I wasn't really able to capture the gilt numerals in the photos. The final photo is a pairing with my black-dial 2639.
