路So one of my freinds who does a lot of costuming for the regional community theater was having the summer blow out sale this morning.
I stopped by not intending to buy anything. Mostly to say hello to friends. I mentioned I was still being obsessed with watches. Was shown a box of costume watches, Which included a Seiko 5. I made an offer and it was accepted.
The bracelet is completely wrong. Probably should know what the fat P is from. Like the other S-5 the crystal is full of cracks. I do not think Polywatch will help. I still need to get the crystal for the other S-5. Crystals online seem to be around 20 bucks. I have yet to find a source of cheap generic crystal. For the old stuff I still have the S LaRose assortment, but I think those have more curvature in the dome.
The watch actually ticks, which is always a good sign.
I usually open the bracelet clamp up as I like my watches to lay flat in the drawer of box.
I still want to use some of my scrap leather and make some new straps for my watches. Somehow I seem to have drifted away from my sewing projects. I used to do a lot of sewing. Like everything else such projects tend to take over more than the space allocated. The local makerspace has machines as well as the ones here. Although I miss my White Rotary which could sew leather.
I have access to the laser cutter, Somehow I never seem to have the time to drive the 7 miles and use it.

路This beauty came in late last week. Very happy with how it looks in person. It needs cleaning and the date and second hands need to be replaced but all functions work.

路This arrived in this afternoon.
A Spear Matic in great condition though there seems some minor dial wear and some spots inside the crystal that need attending to other than that an easy 9 out of 10 for physical condition.
In great running order and once I get the back off I will be able to determine what the movement is.

Do not have the cash flow for a Blankpain Swatch. This one 10 times cheaper at 40 bucks. Missed out getting one of these from Shop Goodwill for that price. The bay has a number of these with prices all over the place. Most sellers want around 80 buck, A few like this one are half that.
Came with a spare battery. Does not look to have been worn. The SGW did not look like it had a box. The box presents a problem though as I do tend to keep the swatches in boxes. The question then is does one wear it or not. Of course now that is is nearly fall, a summer watch is not really in style.
The model is called golden Island. Someone listed one of these as golden Iceland. I think the Biankpain variation I like is called Arctic Ocean. Which is more pink red. The Pacific one I think it the yellow one. Does go to show there is nothing new under the sun.
I still think these look like they came out of a Pez candy dispenser.
