A nicely roughed up PVD Squale 1521 with the rare orange dial, from Ebay. Sadly it arrived with several technical issues and an AM crown, but I was able to get a full refund after contacting Ebay. Their system for that works pretty well.

This back from major repairs and service.
Roamer Mustang Indianapolis early 44 Jewel version.

Been sitting at my Watchmaker for the last couple of months trying to find parts, some previous idiot repairer had installed the incorrect cap jewels in it and the balance wheel would not fit it properly even though it ran, also date change not working correctly and needed new rotor and pallet.

In the end I bit the bullet and bought a good working Roamer Vanguard 316 with the correct movement for $160.00 off FB yesterday and yesterday and today my Watchmaker canabalized it so that the Mustang might live using many more parts than ones noted above.

Still more to do however as I need an original OEM lens to replace the severely damaged one in it.

Its been a money pit for sure.

And the now dead Vanguard 316

Looked like this yesterday

PS the Vanguard might one day live again if I can find a replacement movement for it in the future and maybe a less brassed case.

This Titoni Airmaster also arrived in today, it's drop dead gorgeous and an easy 10/10, zero marks or wear, cannot even detect the faintest scratches in the case, 100% certain this has never seen more than a few hours of wearing at the most.
Most likely a display watch so NOS as is the Hirsh strap.
My photos can't do justice to the way this thing reflects light with its faceted lens and 2 story high and angled indices, it's freaking amazing!!

If I can't have my Dad's Red Racing Speedmaster, then the Japanese version was the next best thing for me! Multiple trips to Japan, wandering around dozens of beautiful watch shops and even missing out on a few pieces were all part of the enjoyable ride!!

I've been after a vintage diver and managed to land this 113. I believe it to be all original except for maybe the hand lume, which I might have redone. Would be nice to find the GF bracelet as well.

Technos Sky Light! It's not as classy as a Connie, but it's 1/10 the price and has an ETA movement!

Now, to figure out what stop to put on it...

Picked up this Mido Ocean Star Powerwind at a vintage/antique shop while on a "loop" to similar shops and then seafood for dinner, with my wife. Started right up when I shook it and has kept perfect time for 7 hours. The as found and then the cleaned up pics. Oh, almost forgot, $40 U.S. dollars out the door. I am very happy with my first Mido......an underappreciated brand.

Ongoing to this previous double banger purchase repair and scrap to save the more attractive and desirable Roamer Mustang Indianapolis.

I won this Roamer Vanguard at auction this afternoon to see if I can resurrect the donor Roamer Vanguard used in its restoration.

Mix and match for sure but wont be a franken!

PS but I guess I will still need another MST471 movement to resurrect this one....
Ahhhhh when will this madness end !!!!!!!!
