Hi.
It certainly looks very much like a 2846.
Here are mine (coming from OF members):

This second one looks really close in terms of hour indexes :
After a good cleaning, It will look very nice I'm sure (with the nice add on of a double signature and its cross-hair).

Thank you, R茅mi. A good cleaning is definitely required. 馃槈

Damaged dial you say 馃榿

Movement shot, looks like a smurf was ground into powder in there...

Bought it for 20eur, thinking the movement was fried. Just before putting it in my scrap pile, I thought about testing it. It ticks and keeps time 馃う.

Now I feel like I should service this zombie and find a good dial. 馃槵

Took a chance on this first execution Deep Blue Ref. 59603 from Favre-Leuba. Radium dial/hands with a little dial burn to show for it. Packaged in a sharp 39mm case. Incredible!

I'm not sure what came over me, since I don't usually like damaged dials, but this appealed to me. Do you think it's a 2846? @kyle L?

Looks more like a 2759/2761. I quite like the patina 馃憤

You're good !
Just checked on C24 as I am not familiar with those.
And here is one on sale right now : clearly spot on.

I stumbled upon this on my way from work. Don't know what to do with it at 26mm, but it was too nice to leave in the back of a thrift store. Even the crown seems original and is made of silver. What can you do... 馃槦

Even though it was marked as broken, it runs very well as far as I can tell and the dial has only small cracks and should clean up nicely (scratches are on the crystal). I'll leave the case tarnished. Year should be around 1925.

Quite difficult to find original crown too, a unique one that as far as I know only came on these refs 馃憤

This new to me 30 jewel Fortis True line with very unusual and rare day date complication positions.
The movement is a Felsa 4008.

Just back today from my Watchmaker.

Sold to me as a going watch but reality did not meet expectation with so many faults requiring major surgery and lots of repair hours but all good now.
Luckily my Watchmaker was full of Christmas spirit and made a considerable reduction in the repair price.
The watch was purchased new in 1966 with an interesting back story which is always nice to know.

It has really good wrist presence, I can see myself wearing this on regular rotation.

Is the number in the case back not matching the SN on the movement a normal case?

Took a punt tonight, probably a bad one, but you cant deny this watch certainly has the " Right Look"

Oversize indices, big pointer hands, black Military / Dive dial, super compressor back/ case.

Unfortunately don't know if its a stainless case, looks chromed to me.

Don't know if its the real deal or a fake it till you make it item but I don't think the Basis brand is any thing special whatsoever so more likely the latter.

Seller pics and in non working order.

Comments welcome

Just arrived and not yet resized for my slender wrist but I think it'll be a good all-rounder. A new Smiths Trans-Global.

Giant package
itty bitty watch

This one is for the other forum. Eventually will need a bezel. Will need to figure out how to get the stem out. I really like the hands. nice tropical patina. Circut board looks clean, will not set. Another project for the Queue.
