Purchased last night, just for a laugh and to see where they put those extra 47 jewels!

New to me Freese 101 with the 3-6-9 dial.

At first I wasn’t sure about adding a re-creation watch to my collection but after reading / watching Simon discuss the concept behind the 3-6-9 dial design and the 101 in general, I understand these 101s to be more of a unique creation of Simon’s with historical precedents and became very interested in finding one. I came across an example for sale locally in LA and jumped at the opportunity. Now having worn it a few days, I’m hooked!

p.s. the hand finishing of the cases on these is incredible!

Just arrived and not yet resized for my slender wrist but I think it'll be a good all-rounder. A new Smiths Trans-Global.

Love the blue dial.

This just arrived from an excellent OF Member. Put her on a beads of rice bracelet. Light crystal buffing and polishing. Will eventually add period correct crown but for now I'll just enjoy!😉😗

I'm not sure what came over me, since I don't usually like damaged dials, but this appealed to me. Do you think it's a 2846? @kyle L?

Very nice! Do I dare open the damage vs. patina can of worms, the endless discussion that makes everyone red in the face (like your dial hahaha)? To me your beautiful Türler dial shows patina—nice and even, subtle, distinguished. I first discovered the value of gracefully aging dials like this when looking in vintage watch shops (or jewelers that carry them) in Italy. They have a real appreciation for patina over there. I also love double-branded dials like this, in part because it usually (I say usually!) indicates an original, non-refinished dial.

Ahhhh I am still kicking myself on the one I missed out on 2 years ago!

I also look, occasionally, but I don’t think I’ve seen one as nice as @Bernhard J's

This arrived in this morning, bought from a watch collector and seller.
Have bought a few from this seller in non going order like this one.
When it comes to repair and service normally a watch from Joe Blow is a straight forward thing but watches that have come from fellow collectors generally are seriously fυcked up and it comes down to whose Watchmaker has the best foo his or mine. Generally so far it's been mine as I have managed to resurrect all of his basket cases but oh the trials and tribulations my Watchmaker has had in doing so.

Belated Xmas present from a good friend!

I got them a cool NATO strap, but they really upped the ante on me. Gonna have to get them something nicer next year.
