I couldn't pass on this from a local classified on a mission to save it from further neglect. Still not sure what to do with it, since it doesn't really fit into my collection and needs restoration. Might get it going and pass it on to someone who has the passion to take on such a project and has a use for the outcome eventually...

When I was 10 I went to Japan and bought this - my first watch. I upgraded to the CMD40 TV remote watch when I was 11 and this was I suspect lost. So I just had a new one sent over from Japan. I was so happy to receive it!

Thinking of putting it on a nato strap!

I love seeing one with the ribbon dial - I didn't realize that was an option with that case.

Also: dang it, everywhere I look there's people buying and selling gorgeous fat lug Seamasters. I'm feeling left out.

Thanks. Sometimes I search for days and find nothing that I really want to acquire. Other days things just seem to land in my lap. There are plenty of fat lug Seamasters out there. It’s only a matter of time until you find the right one - or several!
