Just arrived today, a gorgeous Titus Calypsomatic 7986 with a stunning dial, beautifully faded bezel, original big crown, and lovely caseback. A fun little detail is the date rotates between red for even numbers and a navy blue for odd. The scratch between 4 & 5 is on the crystal and not the dial.

Very nice, much better condition than the ratty ones that usually come up on Ebay. Those look great on the original BOR bracelets if you can find one. Congrats on the find!

Thank you! Yes, I bought it from another collector on here that has an eye for quality. I definitely want to get an original BoR bracelet for this but that’ll be a patient endeavor

Just arrived from Paris today. A daily wearer I'm hoping. And I've already swapped the rubber strap - the original is a little long and I don't want to get out the scissors just yet. And as others have commented the dial is a bit difficult to photograph.

Today's dumpster find. The TC should clean up nicely. The 288 has a patinated dial, but quite evenly, so let's call it character. Both were mistreated, but not polished.

I haven't added to this thread for a while, but I did pick up this Bulova Centennial model from 1969 about 3 weeks ago at a antique mall a few towns over. With tax, it was just over $21. It runs maybe 30 secs a day fast. My watchmaker said it was dry and would need a cleaning. We agreed I would drop it off when I picked up the Omega 30t2-sc he currently has. I thought I was "done" with gold and gold toned watches, but I have been honeymooning with this watch and wearing it more than I should considering.

The Cavalier model Bulova pocket watch and 14K ladies Hamilton came from a yard sale on late, late, Saturday afternoon. Everything on the sale was free! I told the couple running the sale that the Hamilton was 14K gold and worth maybe $60 or $70 in just gold melt, and that they didn't want to just give it away, but they still wouldn't take any money for it. I even offered about them $40 to at least order take out on me and have something for themselves, but they wouldn't take that either. I am not really into pocket watches either but, have been carrying this part of each day since. It keeps good time, but I am guessing has a broken main spring as it will only run for 3 hours and then stop, but if I keep it wound will run around the clock......pun intended. Thanks for looking!

This today at cheaper than scrap value.
Balance wheel is in great shape and the dial is unmarked in like new condition ( my photos show marks but that is dust).

New Seiko Day!
Coming from Aviation, I genuinely thought Seiko made a tribute to the Piper “Super Cub”

But looking into this, I see it’s the Honda Super Cub, which is cool too! While this one is not stock, I like the modern cafe racer vibe 👍

That's funny - the Super Cub does look like it shares some design language with the bike. I also have this Sinn, which is a tribute to the Cessna 140. Sadly, I do not fly or ride bikes, but just liked the designs of these watches 😁

After more than one year fishing in the deep-sea for an unpolished and original tritium-Ex 2 in fair condition (including the bracelet) :

These tritium-EX2 's are IMO underrated and less striking. But you should know: there is no more lume... The case is perfect for a smaller wrist. For me my now my daily beater and I can be more careless concerning water in comparison to my Seamaster 300 from 1968.
I was a lmong time undecided if I should take the black one or the Polaris, but I like more the hands and the lume dots of the black one. A few Polaris (chichi di Mais) exist with silver hands and "edged" dots, but they are rare and expensive.

Finalized the sale today, flying by FedEx as I type this, should be on my wrist at dinner tomorrow. 39mm steel (a rarity for me not gold) from around 2016. The black dial gives it just a touch of sport while the moon phase keeps it dressy elegant.

So classy.
