It's pretty cool because at first I just looked at the pics and thought, "that looks like the side a guitar or it's pick guard", then I saw the coin. When I saw the coin in your post halfway through, then I knew exactly what it was all about. Then I read the name.

I'm like a kid reading a picture book sometimes, and I miss the words.
Lol...I know what you mean. Yes BM used an old sixpence as his plectrum .hence the inclusion of a comer active one with the watch

Got this one yesterday. Polished the crystal, cleaned the dial and case 😎 super fun to do I think

Congrats! Got a very similar exemplar last week. Still needs some cleaning and a new strap (on which I haven’t decided yet), but I’m already looking forward to wearing it. The dial is fantastic, having this bit of sparkle that’s not over the top and changing from white to full silver, depending on the light... don’t think I’ll be bored by it anytime soon.

For lack of a better picture so far:

Just ordered this 1969 Air King and it will arrive Tuesday. It will keep me company as I just sent my Seamaster out for servicing.

Looks very sharp! Nice catch..

Hi All

I'm new here having just purchased my first Omega.

I've wanted one for quite a while now and when I saw this one come up at a reasonable price I couldn't resist.

I recently bought this fine little Fludo chronograph with a Landeron 248 (I think?)

It looks good, is 36 mm and wears nice on the wrist – and it didn’t cost too much.

Picked this up a few weeks ago. It was broken but in good condition for its age (1929 hallmark). Nothing special as far as these watches go, Stockwell's imported these Swiss watches by the thousands, had them hallmarked and then they either stayed n the UK for the domestic market or were re-exported. In spite of the ordinariness, it has some nice features like the red 12, clean dial, no dents in the case and generally I think it's rather attractive. I sent it away to be fixed up - it needed a fair bit of work and a second hand. The watchmaker also put this strap on it. It probably wouldn't have been my first choice - I had in mind to put a trench strap on it, but I'm told this is an authentic design for this watch, and the colour complements the red 12 nicely.

Seamaster Calendar with an old Omega box in verry good overall condition.

Could not wait to mount it on a new strap 😀

Now my watchmaker has a new Project, cleaning the dial and maybe relume the hour / minute hands as statet on another thread.

But still thinking about it 😀

This one is full of radium 😲. Reference 2523-9, a clean caliber 231 under the dust cover. Haven't seen many original examples online. Loving the syringe hands 😀

With a 12mil serial, shouldn't the movement be copper coated?

Nice. I am considering the steel version, but I keep trying to play the ensuing conversation with my wife out in my head and it never ends well.

Nice. I am considering the steel version, but I keep trying to play the ensuing conversation with my wife out in my head and it never ends well.

The main reason for getting this one is as a replacement for my omega tc1 which blew up because of a faulty battery. Renata said they will cough up 750 euro towards the cost of any watch but I must be able to provide an invoice from a shop.
I looked at many watches, divers, micro brands, digital watches but nothing has enticed me as much as this one.
