Forgot to post this, arrived last Friday. Brand new Vostok Komandirskie Paratrooper.

I've paid more for single malt Scotch so I consider this a bargain.

The bracelet had an extremely good mirror finish, which didn't suit my intentions of using it as a tool watch, so I re-brushed the bracelet on a nylon grit wheel.

Not sure if I should do the bezel as well?

Well, if it doesn鈥檛 work out, at the price you paid, you can buy another one and start all over again 馃槈

Picked up this guy a couple of days ago. Im pretty sure it is a ref 2639 ( correct me if Im wrong ). Crown is stuck, the crystal has some scratches. I just dropped it of at the watchmakers for a treatment to correct the deviations 馃榾

Arrived a couple of weeks ago - BAAZ was a small design outfit here in New Zealand that assembled watches in the 70's and '80's from Swiss parts. No idea how many were made but couldn't pass up on this skin diver with a burgundy/crimson dial...

How about watch-related? MWO 3rd Edition arrived today from the UK - not available here in NZ so it's been a long journey...

Worried now that an unconstrained urge to acquire more Speedies will result from reading...

Received today, Eterna Matic 3000 Sevenday from 1969.
I really like the gradient black

I managed to set the date by pulling the crown but I have no clue how to set the day (movement 1501K)

I know this is years late... I inherited this watch from my dad. He died maybe 10 years ago. I was visiting a jewelry shop my grandpa used to own, and they brought me out this watch from a safe. Do you know any more details about it?

A new GMT. Never had a meteorite dial

It goes well with the aventurine version

My 166.010 with a 565 movement has now arrived, all the way from Japan.

The seller was frank about the defects (which appear minimal), said, in response to my query about servicing, that it had been 'overhauled' in March and sent me a copy of the service assessment (in English and Japanese).

Anyway, it鈥檚 just what I wanted and (I think) as nice as I鈥檇 hoped.

I've been lusting after the '57 Trilogy Railmaster for quite some time now, and thanks to timing, and justifying the budget "because I'm not spending money on tolls and fuel commuting to work", I finally pulled the trigger!

And another I forgot to post a couple weeks ago. 1952 14k Omega Model 2684. Both acquired from fine OF members!
Also just noticed the Railmaster was my 100th post!! Woohoo! Half way to being able to NOT sell either of these any time soon.
