An unexpected Ed project
Did someone attempt to make twisted lugs out of straight lugs? Or am I just seeing things

Picked this up yesterday. I know its nothing special but I love automatics and it's a brand I've never seen before.

Picked up a Rolex Airking 116900. Got extremely lucky on timing and couldn鈥檛 imagine a better Christmas present!

Bought this beautiful little Oris for my girlfriend for Xmas. She really didn't click with it at first, I'm hoping that a few strap options instead of the black leather it came with will help her enjoy it more.

It's the danger of buying gifts, you often end up with something that suits the purchaser's tastes more than the recipient's!

Automatic, beautiful dial, classic styling but not overly dressy, elegant proportions, ETA movement and 100m water resistance. What more could a girl ask for? Apparently a cheap gold plated quartz "fashion watch" ::facepalm1:: The horror 馃檨

Ha! Same here. Now, I'm across the strret having a martini and thinking about it. Guy next to me has a quartz Richard Mille lookalike.

This came Thursday. My first full blue dialed watch. Have a blue and gray dialed "panda" chronograph. It is a Seiko 7009-857L. I think it cleaned up real nice and believe it is on the original bracelet. Sellers pics were pretty poor....his eBay auction at $60 expired, he relisted at $40 and the same occurred. I sent a message, if he reposted it for $35, buy it now I would do so. 10 mins later, the deal was consummated. And the watch was paid for using some of the 10% eBay bucks I earned from buying my daughters Christmas present last month. So, I wear a lot of shirts this color blue, it's in decent shape, to my eye, a first for me, it keeps perfect time and then price is right......now I just need to change shirts. ;-) Thanks for looking, McK

I ordered this near minty Seamaster Pro with a box, papers & extra links for the bracelet.
It has the 2254.50 movement, little to no scratches and very bright luminescent hands and markers.
I think I got it for a very decent price, $1800
Thoughts?

And with my thanks to JiminOz for deciphering the Da Vinci Code of military watch case numerals.

I think this is one of the later(early nineties?) civilian ones? The 70's issued W10 preceded the circle logo(which was introduced in either '81 or '82, can't remember off the top of my head). The tritium has aged beautifully on that one.

The "purification" continues. Patiently waiting for this to come in. Two more pieces will have to go to make room for it but I will then be down to, what I hope, is five watches that will make me happy for a long time.

Many will recognize it, but for those who are not familiar, surprise!

Very cool watch! Tried one on at an airport last year and was SO tempted!
