Something really cool came in today. Omega Geneve Chronometer Cal. 602 with a rather uncommon dial.
Without mine I have seen this dial version only four times (two in the OF, one in Italy and an other one I can'treally remember where I saw it).
Mine comes from Portugal from a really nice guy.

This showed up locally at a good price... add to that an unpolished case, an original black dial with wonderful rose gold hour markers and all intact radium lume I found myself wearing this one an hour after it was put up for sale...

1918 Elgin Star Dial Watch with 7 Jewel 462 Movement

Solid nickel, semi-hermetic Illinois case (both the crystal bezel and the case back are threaded). I love these 100 year old watches. Especially the ones with enameled dials. You'll probably never find a 100 year old painted/printed dial in this condition.

The hands have been relumed, the crystal replaced and the case polished.

The 48 star minute markers represent the 48 states in the United States during that time.

Wow, what a beautiful movement! Is that it's original condition or did you remove the plating and re-plate it?

Love the enamel dial. It's a work of art.

I hope you'll post pictures of it once it's complete.

Snagged this with help from a WUS member. It’s even better in the flesh. 36mm size fits me great.

Thanks to @ConElPueblo for raising my consciousness about Certina. I'm hoping the bracelet on this one will be a pleasant surprise (GF?).
Incoming, seller photos. I love the medallion on the case back. Seems to be running well.

I'll post for sure, it will be awhile though, 'cuz I'm having two converted it at the same time, and I have to save my pennies.

No, it is original, as I got it. I will admit I lucked out with that purchase. I tripped over it on eBay, took a gamble but it turned out great!
I have an heirloom 1890,6S, 7j, 14k gold Hunter case Elgin that belonged to someone in the family, but no one knows who. I'm not doing anything with that watch, but I am having it duplicated with a 15J 6s movement, another eBay find. (exact hands & dial)

Looks like I'm catching the UG bug. Who said simplicity had to be boring?

Finally found a 321 Speedmaster that worked for me, a 145.012-67 SP in really wonderful condition, so good that I didn’t believe the sellers pictures entirely. A very late 321. Sharp case edges, clean DON bezel, pristine back and very nice 1039 bracelet.

Second owner bought it a decade ago from first, who picked it up after returning from Vietnam, and then put it in a drawer for thirty years.

Hands are tritium (they glow for only a very short period after exposure to bright light) and given the condition of the rest of the watch, I believe are original.

I’m very pleased.
