Actually, there is a thread on these here: https://omegaforums.net/threads/nee...f-vintage-chronometre-tissot-automatic.25560/
I have been tracking them for years. Sadly, the second one shown in the above thread (seen at auction in 2004) was separated from its gold case, and the movement was auctioned off on eBay in 2015.
Hi!
One of the last purchase of 2017 and also my first Omega! 馃榾
Omega Seamaster Cosmic 70鈥檚.
Changed the strap since the pic.
What a pleasure to start being a part of Omega owners. 馃槈
What did the sale post look like? 馃榾
I've managed to buy two pretty nice Certina DS' this weekend - the total is now up to six in the collection. Would have stopped sooner, but those damn things are irresistible! 馃槵
(seller's photo)
Manual winding with uncommon two-tone dial, lume-filled numerals and sword hands (unsure whether or not these are original, but they fit the style very nicely!). Comes on what seems to be a NOS, black Certina leather strap w/ correct buckle - score! 馃榿
The other one is a no-date, automatic with the uncommon non-turtle back in lovely condition. It is probably pretty early as indicated by caseback and dauphine hands - can't wait to open it up! It comes to me via the OF underground railway from a helpful member, who was able to bid on an auction that was closed to me. Early DS' are prone to patinated quite strongly, so I am more than happy with the even, light aging of this one. Lume looks very reasonable, too. And oh yeah - that GF bracelet is worth almost all of the final auction price on it's own 馃槑
EDIT: Oh, by the way... Neither of these were as much money as a Seamaster of the same vintage in even fair condition, let alone with any extras such as bracelets. And both of these are interesting varieties of an interesting, wearable watch and both in good condition.
