"Return to sender ..."(Elvis Presley) - NO! DEFINITELY NOT! This Pice is a "Standy by me" (Ben E. King)
My very new Omega Speedy "From The Moon To Mars" delivered by FedEx and Kringkily - thanks a LOT!

I know, it´s not the one Speedy that everybody likes or loves, but I am one of the FTMTM LOVERS :)

When I first saw this for sale, I had a feeling I would regret not buying it. It's a great watch! And I don't regret the decision to pass on it. Rather, I'm glad it has found a good home in our community.
    Congrats Bill! Well done!

And now the real reason I'm lurking here...
I got a beautiful vintage IWC yesterday as seen in the WRUW section for today. Happily for my wrist/sadly for my watch fund, it didn't stop there.

Not part of my final plan, just another distraction along the way to the Daytona!

Sadly? What's a watch fund for if not to buy watches? ::confused2::

Well...I have an answer, even if you didn't want or expect one.
My latest ever-changing plan is have a Calatrava and a Daytona, then whatever distracts me. Got the Cally. Sold my Speedy Moons to begin funding the Daytona. But much like you have noted, I am buying watches instead of saving the money because I'd rather have watches! Calatrava/Daytona/Whatever became Calatrava/Whatever
    So, no Daytona = sad...

I've been distracted by work the last several weeks. Did we see pictures of this yet?

Saw an acquaintance of mine wearing one of these at an event last night. It's hard to express just how perfectly proportioned and balanced it looks on the wrist. Congratulations on getting one and on having such good taste :)

Bought this today from cristos71 and can't wait to put it on the wrist! I love the C-shape case and think the bold raised hour markers are fabulous. But I guess I am biased...

Just received this seamaster today - love the contrast between the dials, subdial borders and hands!

I love it when a new project means that you need to buy a new specialist tool.

You can't show that without showing the dial that you intend to use it on!

All in good time. I need to do some learning/practice before trying it in anger but I'll post a write up when I do the actual dial.
