Hi

Ok these are not the best photos of the watch.... I purchased this watch from Northernman.

First thank you to Anders, I love the watch. The bracelet was a little tight on my wrist , but I had an old school extender that did the trick ( if anyone knows where I can find a spare link or two please pm me).

As soon as I saw Anders fs post I loved the watch. You know if Chuck Maddox was still around he would be buying these up like no tomorrow. It has one of his favorite movements Lem 5100 and the case and bracelet is totally cool...

I personally think this is an uncommon combination. A funky case and bracelet ( companies like Omega would reserve this case design for a quartz or tuning fork or some other electronic movement) AND a Tissot signed Lemania 5100 mechanical chronograph !!

The best of both worlds ,cool 70s style with a mechanical non electronic heart !

People call this model Tissot Lobster, but the bracelet is pointy , maybe a Spiny Lobster... need to think about that ....

But here are my quick iphone photos wearing it last weekend. All the case edges are sharp , same with the bracelet , not over polished ( I dont think it was ever polished) it has some scratches but I can totally live with that ... I have seen examples were the case edgeing was round off and the links cracking... this one is not the case....

I had someone translate the inscription on the clasp was able to make out "Gift for 40 Years ..."

Good hunting

It is actually the cal 1341 which in Omega terms translates to 1040 sans 24h indicator and not the 5100 aka 1045. Even more desirable IMHO.
Enjoy and thanks for a smooth transaction!

Hi Anders
I stand corrected , as a newbee to collecting ( wink wink )... Right the 5100 day date... I never had a 1040 just a few 1041s.

I have to ask , Why did you sell this great watch? Maybe to buy a GREATER one?

Once again thanks again, it is not that often I buy a watch something that I never had before and its a real treat !

Good Hunting

The one down side to this watch , the seconds sweep is in RED and the dark blue dial background ! I am color blind and I its almost impossible for me to see the sweep unless in direct sunlight !

Best

Collecting is a weird thing. Just too many chronos sitting and already the same base movement in a 1040 176.007. my focus is mainly on calibers and as such this was not getting the TLC it deserved with me.
Several incoming the past months basically meant that the boxes was filling up.

Will I have to consider myself lucky to get it ... Thanks... we all collect something a little different... I have a "bag " of stuff if i said duplicates that would be an understatement.

I have more then a few Omega 30 mm movement powered watches...

Good Hunting

Not bought today but finally confirmed that my hunch was right and that a quite nice watch was lurking under the beat up surface. Now at the watchmaker to receive a chunk of TLC.
Breitling Top Time ref2002-33 caliber Valjoux 7733. And I still claim not to be a Breitling guy.

Nice! That dial looks like it just left the factory. Now... about that bottom pusher. Hopefully that's an easy part to locate.
