Purchased this great 2254.50 on Sunday from a local ΩF member. Met on Monday evening for the handoff - I couldn't be happier! IMG_0856.JPG

Erm? Iron bar form the Lego Hooligan set? ;)

No idea... I'm sure people will recognise use these though. I'm not so cryptic (which is odd for a cryptographer). C9E4866F-98EB-4C26-B83B-047E4A27955C.JPG

Arrived this morning, along with a new black croc strap. Cousins is a wonderful website...

Fair 'nuff Andy, it's a gold filled tube to go on my Model 2 Hamilton 992B, it goes across the bow and keeps the crown in place.

It only came from eBay Troels, not the "dark web" :D.

Hey Jason, is that one of the soft gel movement pads? Let's know what you think of it.

    Cheers

    Jim

It is indeed, the larger 75mm one. So far so good, only used the once to swap the strap over on my SM this morning... but it's squidgy and soft and grips the case nicely.

Nah... I don't think so. It's got give, but it's not going to sink into it. This is me pushing down with a fair amount of force.

Also, the postie has just come back to the door... he'd forgiven to give it to me when he delivered the first package, and I'd forgotten I'd ordered this. Nice nato strap from Yellow Dog Watchstraps on Etsy. It's so much nicer than the one I bought from a Amazon.

And not expensive either. I'll put on a watch at some point today.

Thanks. It's the same age as me (45!), but in considerably better condition.:D

New arrival from the UK today:

I've been told that "8" is a lucky number in Asian cultures. This watch has four of them:

Seller claimed the watch was serviced. This time, I think they were right. Cal. 30L running perfectly with regulator right down the middle:

    Crown looks correct also:

I feel bad for the folks in the UK, with Sterling being in the dumper. But sometimes, this is how bargains are found.

Looks like a keeper to me.

Well, it looks like a movement holder... but then there's the lighter. Hmmm. It'd make a piss poor ashtray. Cigar rack? ;)

Vintage movement holder. Hoping it's pocket watch size. The lighter is just for scale (I hope).

I just like the way it's made. Solid like an engine block.
