NEVER thought it would look that awesome in real..but it does! Picked it up today, being well ahead of the next Rolex price increase. Love it already.
I bought a nice blue Defy (A3651). Looked quite nice, but when I removed the bezel, a kind of gasket slime flew over the top side of the watch: The original mineral glass was mounted (now it wobbles because of the vanished gasket) - think I will let it polish (by an optician?) to give it a nicer look without scratches. Interestingly the bezel is wider (and the glass smaller) than on my other Defy - and brushed. 2562 inside but no high beat/28800 marking on the dial. rgds - h.u.
1901 Waltham Appleton Tracy.... newly purchased "in the rough" currently in for and "clean and grease" and a fresh spring now the hunt is on for a regulator part!
New to me this 70s hunk of love. Megaquartz Geneve with a dial colour, case and bracelet combo I've not seen on the net so might be suspect? Thanks for any opinions. Ta ta
Fantastic acquisition, it's a beautiful watch, top quality and it looks great on your wrist-- congrats to both buyer and seller!
I initially signed up for the UG subforum believe it or not! But I ended up with a time-only LeCoultre instead, and really like LeCoultre, Longines and several other brands.
Amazon Hadley Roma Horween shell vintage style straps for $29 in a few odd sizes (17 mm brown and black and 18 mm black - not an odd size but $29?!?!). Bought 2 in each size, which is all they allowed that day. Back up to more regular price now. Weird how Amazon works some times.
Ahem.... this quick fix for 15 euros after a conversation on chocolate speedies and double red and other subs reminded me I really like the green subs.
