According to the "boss" I am not allowed to buy any new watch!
Sooooo frustrating.... I am sure many have the same issue 🙄
So I decided to do something about it..started looking in my drawers and found :
1- a Chinese stainless steel submariner style case
2- a longines black dial
3- 3 hands
4- a one dollar strap, etc.....
5- a Swiss ETA 2836
And here is my Frankenstein watch 😁

Nifty! I like it. And you can easily get around the "no new watches" rule.... just buy vintage!

It won't work, i've tried before but ended up sleeping on the sofa for a few days !

Purchased today from my local watchmaker...a railroad grade Elgin B.W. Raymond 571 (c. 1952). It's my first Elgin as well as my first Montgomery dial...so I'm pretty psyched...good times! 👍

Nice one! I bought my first pocketwatch recently, but I haven't quite figured out how I most like to wear it. I'm thinking about putting in my pocket next time - it kept sliding off my wrist. I'm just not Mad Cool enough I guess. 🙁

Any smaller than this 41mm and the scales would be even more difficult to read, but it's a beautiful dial.
