Pulled the trigger on one of these today for my Ed White. Will post pics of the actual bracelet when received. SOURCE: http://www.moonwatchonly.com/Moonwatch_Only/MORE_FR_files/MORE1EN.pdf
Not a watch but releated. bought a Spring Bar Tool. Will start learning on how to remove the straps and exchange them..
So this came in the mail today. Wrong case/caseback, movement hacking does not work. Came with a nice longines buckle though (small wins) I think its perfect! Haha now to find a donor case/caseback and movement. The things i do for chocolate...
My collection consists of all vintage watches, so I need at least 1 modern diver for summer (snorkeling, swimming). Decided to get Longines Legend Diver reissue but at 42mm and about 50mm lug to lug it's too big for me 6.3 inches/16cm circumference wrist. So finally traded (plus cash) the LLD into 36mm Seamaster 300 ceramic black dial, just arrived Today Decided to go with 36mm since the full size one (41.5mm) is closer to 42mm than to 40mm.... View attachment 300849 View attachment 300850 Very happy with my decision, the overall watch and bracelet made with highest quality, the 36mm size is perfect, surely will be a keeper I wonder why Tudor Blackbay 36mm has such a big hype while this SMPc 300 36mm has been released for a while without getting its much deserved attention..
I found and bought this last week. New crown is already on the way. Some1 with spare nice dial that suits cal 565 let me know I am interested....
Finally found an original NOS 1171, with Applied Logo, with correct vintage NOS 633's for a reasonable price for my 145.022-69. High as a kite right now as I opened the package from Italy 5 min. ago. Pics on the watch will follow, hands are shaking too much at the moment .
Not bought a vintage Quartz before but this Heuer 980 dive watch grabbed my attention My research (and I am a novice on quartz so please correct any errors) is that the model was launched in 1979 as the Heuer Diver 1000 (ref 844) and was made in France by G Monnin In 1980 it was renamed the 980 and production moved to Switzerland eventually becoming the iconic Tag Heuer 1000 in 1986 This watch is the 980.033 and was manufactured between 1982 and 1984 I like it because as a 20 something in the 80s I always aspired to own a Tag Heuer but could never afford one and this watch kick started my addiction
I had this ugly "El primero gap" in my small vintage chronograph collection. Very happy to close it yesterday with a Movado Datron 360. The EP will arrive next week, but here is a first pic.
Finally received my eBay purchased Speedmaster Mark III Professional. Waiting patiently to revive this 40 something year old watch. Love the wearability of this piece. Much different than my Seamaster Planet Ocean Chrono.
I love wearing Dynamics. They hug my wrist like they mean it. I think there are several issues with this piece that make it non-collectable; the movement is a cal. 563 and a probable replacement, I think the case has been refinished and the crystal is generic. But I bought it from a reputable watchmaker and it's had a service so it will be a great daily wear piece. I do believe the dial and the hands are "original" or would be correct. I any case I find the face of this watch very attractive.
