No idea why I didn't buy one of these much, much earlier on...

Years of watches piling up on the shelves are finally over! 馃榿

An honest example of a Seamaster 600, which will soon be my Seamaster 30's sibling 馃榾

This arrived in the post this morning I like to try and find nice vintage watches on a buget and is one of the new arrivals...I'm guessing 1970's don't no much about the maker but I've seen a few posted here lately...

THis is a rare and famous model yes?

From Tony's reply I guess not but I have no idea. It seems like a good honest example.

I buy watches because I like them. For this one, it was because of the bracelet. I wanted to see how it felt on my wrist. If I don't like the feeling it will not stay in my collection.

I was simply pointing out that they aren't "rare". They are, however, excellent watches in every respect. GP had great success with their HF Chronometers in the Observatory trials, and the fact that so many have survived in good condition is an indication of their quality. I have owned quite a few, and yours certainly appears to be a very nice, original example.

As indicated in the ad below, these watches finished 1st through 5th in the 1970 competition!

YES I am still downsizing but sometimes curiosity gets the better of me and providing it is not a bank breaker I quite enjoy taking a chance on something that I suspect may look a lot better in the flesh 馃
Sellers image,

I doubt these guys had anything to do with it ? 馃榿

Sellers image,
That's quite nice. It has a Polerouter feel to it. Surprisingly the SUTER font is very 70s.

It was the Polerouter aspect that caught my eye, I would look at late sixties to early seventies.

Found this great article talking about the HF chronometers
http://www.fratellowatches.com/insi...rregaux-gyromatic-chronometer-hf-calibre-32a/

It's a much cooler watch than anticipated, the one I bought is not an A32 but rather the 42 version.

And unfortunately, the small wrists strike again. I removed a link from the bracelet and made it as small as possible and it's still too big for my wrist.

I have fallen for this Stowa Flieger, limited edition to 100 watches.
