I just "kicked the tires" and didn't actually buy, but here was a nice little gold plated Constellation hummer.
Thanks, it belonged to my grandad, I've had it for about ten years but have never bothered finding a watch for it.
My first ever Seiko - brought into this world in December 1982, like me Will need to decide what strap to put it on - may go for a bracelet actually.
This has been on eBay on, and off for a little over a year... was asking silly money, and has slowly but surely come to see reason. Proper post later when I get through the traffic from hell and make it home.
Been mostly out of internet connection lately. Back on dry land, and landed two watches today. The first in a relative good condition, the second in dire need of TLC. Fortuneatly I do have the spares needed to get it back in action. Lemania cal 3010 - 21Jewel "de luxe" version of the cal 3000: And a not too commonly seen Zenith chronograph. 3 register version of the 143-6. 99% certain it has got an Excelsior Park EP40 based movement. Rössler mentions these, but has no pictures of them. Only the 2 register EP4 based ones are seen in his book. (In addition his Excelsior Park / Zenith caliber naming is dead wrong, but that is another topic). A proper "project" watch. Off to the spa:
I don't know if it is Navajo or Zuni, it is from the four corners area. It was picked up sometime in the late fifties. It's not something I will wear too much, but I do straight dance so I will probably wear it at dances at least.
No luck there, I'm afraid. Couldn't grow one if I wanted to... Will be shopping for a pair of glasses with a slighty too-heavy frame and start building a paunch instead. Seems to work for Ben Clymer! EDIT: Oh, and will be buttoning up my shirts without wearing a tie, too.
