13.33 Longines (1917) with archives extract. Very stoked to have this in my collection. I'm sure it's a "kid gloves" wearer but it's so cool.

I was looking for an automatic beater to replace a quartz orient I wore as my beater. Recently I have gained an appreciation for diving watches, and I figured a diver would make a perfect beater as they are water proof, tend to have crown gaurds. The rotational bezel will also be a nice feature when timing my chemical engineering labs, although a chrono would have been better I do not ussualy require a high accuracy for timing In these labs.

A fellow forum member @Foo2rama pushed me over the edge and convinced me to get the skx. Not being the biggest fan of multi coloured bezels I took the 007 over the 009.

I also purchased 5 nylon natos, 2 leather natos, 3 Perlons and a leather/ canvas combination strap since I'm not a fan of rubber and the jubilee bracelet did not appeal to me either, but sadly these have not come yet and will most likely be stuck in the mail due to the Canada post lockout starting Monday.

This watch has been great so far, but I can't wait to get my hands on my next watch ( expected Monday or Tuesday ).

It has finally landed. 🥰🥰
Will move on for a spa treatment. Crystal needs to be replaced and movement cleaned and oiled for sure.

The cool thing to me is that the case back confirms my suspicion it is an early "waterproof" design by IWC with a so called "hermet" case.
These are not too common.
Dedication inscription not too bad either, but I will not change my name to Yngve anytime soon😀

Niiiiice 🥰🥰

This bit of Favre-Leuba ephemera, apparently signed by a Favre - maybe one of Fritz's children (?), a member of the sixth watch-making generation of the Favre family.

Now I just need to find a watch like this with serial number 10256. Please keep your eyes open.

A simple large Oyster Precision (36 mm), ref 6424, a new companion to my other. Both are ca. 1964-65. The new one has a rare gilt dial.

My quest for Lemania watches continues... 😀
Smallish at 32mm, but I think it will clean up very nicely. The dial is really something, and in great condition for a late 1940s/early 50s(?) watch!
Sellers picture:

@Northernman: I already had the feeling i was bidding against you... sorry i drove up the price 😉
