Arrived today from Canada after a long flight from Winnipeg to Vancouver (one day) and then a Slow Boat to Sydney and my local PO (54 days).

Watch lovers have to have patience.

Thanks to @CdnWatchDoc for my blue 6139 and a nice twin, a beater that I might be able to revive, or use for spares for things that go "PING!" 😁.

Hard to find, and especially in this condition. I have another (not in the same condition), if anyone is interested...

Just arrived. My first in which the moon has a personality!

Wow.

That's a case I haven't seen before - so many variations on the LeCoultres.

Nice snag, and DIBS!

I whiled away many hours in the 70's (was it REALLY that long ago? 😲) with my friends on D&D. Still have all my old books, many of them first editions, though well used indeed.

Ha that's so cool, apparently the new 5th edition tries to get back to the original style of D&D, more character driven and less combat heavy than 3.5/4/pathfinder became.

A bunch of no-name Longines, all 14k or 18k. Actually some do have names in old Longines ads. L - R, top to bottom, "Washington", "King", "Lincoln", "Diamond Arrow", and a "Turler" dial watch bought for much less than scrap gold price (even with cash for gold guys cut). Same case for the Lincoln. Was gonna scrap both and salvage the movements but can't quite bring myself to do it. My wife likes the Lincoln so will find a strap, replace the crystal, and service it. 8LN, 22L, 8LN, 19.4, and 410 movements, in that order. Not usually a diamond dial kind of person (usually wear a plastic Casio or beater Wittnauer on a Speidel) but I wanted another mystery dial to complement an old Lucien Piccard I have.

Staying away from big ticket items and exploring minuscule (and cheap) women's watches....
This arrived today, a true piece of art deco design with mixed gold and steel -- but it will need repair.

Then I won this today for 36 euros -- initially for a donor movement but I won't have the stomach to take it apart.

Hi Syrte. I have 2 4LL and a 410 movement I don't use or need if you need spares or parts for any of those. Longines made a ton of cool small watches. The movements are really little works of art.

Thank you so much @argonbeam, I might take you up on it at some point. Sadly I got such a good deal on the second watch at 36 euros that the seller has vanished and failed to provide the requisite banking information for payment (Paypal not accepted).

I was just browsing, honestly, no intention of buying.

But I couldn't let this one go.

Perhaps I'll investigate acquiring a French passport given the "Brexit" result 😡
