A little light reading material?

Nope, but certainly a good warehousing solution for a few of my straps 😗

Since this photo I have actually filled it and am currently searching for another one.....and yes, I do now realise that I have a serious problem...😁
You have a problem. Seek help.

Back to the Disco then!?

Maybe more of disco-pop in 1989. Anything Stock, Aitken and Waterman will go well with this watch.

I want one! That's way better than my current shoe box solution. Sadly, most of my excess straps are firmly in the "strap failure" column including my latest green ostrich purchase. I have yet to see a green ostrich in the flesh but I expect the coloring of one would look more pleasing than than the strap. Nice pick up. Something else to add to my search queue...

That's a bargain price. Typically listed for sale in the USD1k region. 😀

But it was like 2 years ago so the prices has changed a bit. Liked the strap very much tho.

Hey guys (and girl) - do not laugh at me now...
Try to laugh with me instead.

This is not within my normal interest but since the 80-ies, when I was not interested in watches nor had the means, I sort of have had a latent thing for these. I could not get one then - when all the wealthy "in" guys had one. At the disco, in a flamboyant shirt and with some chains around the neck - this was hot then.

Now I think it looks a little "game of thrones" and this example has the right amount of dirt and wear for me to get interested. This all steel 40mm chronomat, with the black subdials and grey dial and black contrasting deep inner bezel, looks like a tool I believe. The UTC does it for me. I would not have bought it without the UTC. Got it at a good price and box, papers (1989) and reciept is included. Black shark strap with grey contrasting seam is already on the shelf.

Agree it's a bit "Saturday night fever"-- Maybe it will be the next Rolex Daytona and you'll be the one laughing all the way to the bank then? The dial and handset are fantastic. Wear it in good health!

Just got a Speedmaster II with racing dial delivered - while I figure out what to do about the length of the bracelet (too long for my skinny wrists), I've popped it on a blue Toshi strap.

Bought my first speedmaster today. Completely unexpected. Got into that vintage watch shop full of rolexes. They had a speedmaster. It was so much more beautiful in real life than on all these OF forums. Not sure i'm gonna be able to sleep tonight.
And it looks even better on my wife's wrist.
Is this your wife modeling? 👍 Gee, ladies might be tempted to get one too then!!😲

What problem? Straps are much cheaper than watches. The problem of course arises when you start wondering what watch you might buy to fit a certain strap... 😎

a few days ago I received two nice watch boxes . Each of them can protect 6 and 8 even larger watches. The 6-watch-version is for my wife's three valuable wrist watches and the other one will contain my future watches. [emoji16] 169774aed00ab7593f842bdb2ce64d4b.jpg
