··Carpe horologium!Moments ago, driving home with perishable groceries in the car, I decided to stop for a very quick peek at this unusually close estate sale just two blocks from the house!
I didn't expect to see any watches at all, which is the usual around here. But there were a handful of mostly ugly-dialed, quartz watches; but then I saw this.
I like alarms, I don't have a Hamilton, and it seemed interesting, so I bought it even though it wasn't running:
A quick search for Hamilton alarm watch just now, and apparently this one is called the 'Chanticleer', Hamilton's first alarm watch, late 50's from one source I read. I'll open it this evening just for curiosity sake, and then I'll take it to my watchmaker next week.
I think this was not a bad find for only $35 and my first ever 'estate' purchase!
