From your set-up picture I would perhaps consider moving the right hand speaker a 20-30 cm more away from the sidewall / corner? It could help "dry up" and further define the bass if needed. 👍

What you see there is not the current position as they have already been tweaked. Standing wave issues in this room and an odd shape make good positioning a challenge...but I like a challenge. I also don't have the bass traps up in this photo...things like corner traps and layout are always a point of discussion with my wife...

Sometimes I search for a specific model, other times something interesting or different comes up on the radar that makes me put in a bid.
Cal 571 Omega was not on my radar until today!
Signed crown. Original plexi.
35.5x28mm square case. 21mm lug width.
Ref 3999-61.
Charming?

Pulled this nice example of a 1960 Glycine Airman Special with Felsa movement. Hacking mechanism is not working but I'm hoping it is in there just put back together incorrectly. If not we'll fix her up. Got it pretty cheap as most probably passed due to the engraving.

Aren't 27M supposed to be sub-seconds calibers?

(I am out of my depth in manual wound Longines, as you see...)
Not to my knowledge.

A quality old hand fitting tool, that unfortunately arrived without the punches due to a hole in the side of the box. I have contacted the seller who is attempting to find another set of punches and springs.

26/01/16 Good news, the seller has sourced a pair of punches and they are now en route. 😀

Thanks a lot!!!

In rantff, 27M appears only as a subseconds caliber, while 23M appears as both subseconds and indirect sweeping seconds (with the raised bridge).

I had already found several (well, two) 23M with that dial, and I was waiting for the watch to arrive to find out, but I suppose that that settles the matter.

Thanks again!!

Six hours driving today to pick up this beauty. I know it's not a watch, but it came up and finding another of these would be almost impossible. It's an English carriage clock c. 1820-30, quarter striking made in London. I was saving up for a big watch purchase, but blew the watch fund on this 👍🤦 I know it might be dangerous to say it here, but I love clocks more watches😵‍💫 sorry.

Very very late decision and bid on this. Ended up getting what I believe to be an honest watch for a reasonable price. Will see when it arrives😀

Reverse panda fever!

Nice!

I'd be interested in more pics/thread on these two if you have time. Really like these Valjoux pandas/reverse.

A pair of watches, one for me, and one for Mrs. Darlinboy. Mine was delivered directly for a service, so pics will have to wait.

I had an AP15300 once upon a time, and
though I loved the design, it was not a watch I could wear care free, so off it was sold. Mrs. Darlinboy chides me even to this good day for selling (it was her favorite) and regrets she did not appropriate it, though it was a bit large for her, so...

Hers is now in hand...

I will tell her it is unworn - and it was until I couldn't resist a quick wrist shot (please don't tell). At 37mm, it will be a perfect size for her.

She gets to peel off the stickers. 😉
