That's what I said to the wife. Told her I need a Lange and Patek to even things out but she isn't having it.
Thx! I noticed that too and you're correct... The dial doesn't sit flush against the bezel insert almost the entire way around. I read on another thread that it's due to the rubber inserts aging. I'll have it addressed when I get it serviced. Fwiw, I could see the rubber inserts when I opened this up to take the below pix just for you! [emoji3] (and note, when i closed it back up, I didn't like how the back cover sat and my case wrench slipped like 3X when re opening to re seat it [emoji35]... I need a much better case wrench than the POS I have #RookieMistakes)
Have not seen this one here in the States. Do enjoy Doc Martin, Father Brown, Inspector Morris, Inspector Lewis, Endeavor. Lots of very good Masterpiece Theatre shows to watch. The wife rally liked Downton Abbey but I could not get into at all. From the past, 25 years ago, Rumpole of the Bailey.
Since my parents' spare bedroom mattress was decades old, my wife and I decided to use my fantastic employee discount and buy a Serta Hallstrom foam bed. Actually, we bought it a couple weeks back so we could use it while we got outta town during Pope-adelphia.
The last of the big spenders New "Alpha" arrived and realised I didn't have a single 17mm strap to my name so some Hirsch calf grain ordered from WatchObsession.
I bought my first watch tools today...from the watch tool store on the other side of town. The coolest tool in the shed is the whirly job that holds the screw drivers...I can get that sucker spinning pretty fast...good times!
This could be interesting. We really need him to YouTube himself. I've got $5 that says he accidentally puts a screwdriver in his cup of DD coffee thinking it that whirly holder.
Yeah...well...the watch tool girl at the front counter of the watch tool store was pretty hot so I think I bought more tools than I actually needed.
Is Bergeon the equivalent [in quality] of Snap-On...or Craftsman? How is "Bergeon" pronounced? BUR-GEE-ON? BUR-JON?
It's best to use fingers or something in rubber to close and align the back first before tightening, in order to avoid stripping the thread. The reason asked about inside pictures was because sometimes the dial's sagging was caused by the bad rubber bumpers, but also by the back's retention spring gone missing. I do not see that spring ring in your pictures. Did you leave it out or it did not come with the watch?
sooooo... A couple of weeks back I bought something called a Champ RTF (ready to fly) - a tiny twenty inch wingspan radio control plane with everything you need in a box. It was awesome for the thirty minutes it took to park it in a tree. Completely ignoring any lesson we carried on flying when we got it down, so twenty minutes later we parked it high enough that it was never coming down. Ordered another one, mastered it and yesterday moved up to a much larger plane, an apprentice s15. It has gyros in it that smooth out bumps and let it override your inappropriate controls if you have it in 'beginner' mode. Incredible technology for about £140. Flew ut in mode zero and it was like flying an airliner. Stately, graceful, little bit boring. Flipped it into intermediate mode and almost pooped myself. Suddenly terrifyingly acrobatic with no self centering capabilities. Cannot wait to try again today.... https://onedrive.live.com/redir?res...149&authkey=!AB24tSysEkqGd3U&ithint=video,mp4 I feel like a mini mad dog.
Found this little gem at an antiques fair near Bordeaux, France. Crystal needs replacing and there is a bit of grime on the exterior, but dial is in great shape, and the case is unpolished with only a bit of wear on the back. Even has the original signed crown. Can't get the caseback off without my tools (which are back in London), but fingers crossed that everything is up to par on the inside (it winds smoothly and keeps excellent time, at least).
