Money would always have been better spent on a Seiko….But….

I’ve been tempted to get a fun and easy beater, been very tempted by Casio’s reeditions of their 1970s models. Hard to beat in terms of price, and they’re not even toy watches. Some lume or light would be preferable though.

50 euro for a near perfect watch, but I I need 300m WR and a He valve because ...... ehh......reasons.

…. And.. in the unbeatable price to quality ratio, while this is much more expensive than the Moonswatch, the value for money is unbelievable. Since it appears to be a Swatch group bestseller, that’ll be another source of income making up for those who don’t buy the plastic toy watch.

I hope whoever came up with the idea to revive that model with those dials and automatic movement gets the bonus they deserve.

I don't understand how you can see the MoonSwatch as a bad value but at the same time see what is basically a fake homage Royal Oak a good value...

I’m not saying the Moonswatch is bad value for everyone; i always thought of it as a stroke of marketing genius. However 260 euros is a lot of money for what a number of people have called a toy watch, which is plastic and disposable.

as for this Tissot, It’s a modern reedition of a Tissot vintage model. The one thing that evoques Royal Oak is the criss cross on the dial which IMhO was a genius idea. But there is not a hint of the Royal Oak’s distinctive bezel design for example.
As for integrated bracelets, again it’s not by any means specific to the Royal oak.
If you look at the reviews it also has an upgraded and decent quality movement. And in hand the chunky quality of the case and bracelet are very compellin, as is the contrast between the polished and the brushed surfaces.
