Can anyone tell me about this vintage "Omega"

While in Poland last year, my uncle gave me this "Omega". Said he got it from his grandfather.
Clearly the dial is VERY off.. Things are crooked and sloppy. I didn't want to say anything but thank you..
When I got home, I popped the caseback and was pretty surprised. The movement seems legit and I saw similar pics in pocket watches.. So this was a convert?? Albeit a pretty bad one.. Any tips on possibly restoring with a new dial? Thanks!

It's a converted pocket watch, also called a "Marriage Watch".
Often done in the past to re-use a movement that was still functional but no longer fashionable.
The serial of the movement dates it to about 1911, the style of the case could be 1940's.
Possibly a caliber 18''' or a 19''', but to figure that out we need to know the diameter of the movement.

I somewhat like the dial as is - it is funky. As it is already a conversion using mixed parts I would wear it as is because it is a heirloom.
If you can´t stand the dial it should be possible to find one on ebay. PW dials show up regularly on the net...

Yes, indeed .. you should wear as is, after a full service and a thorough cleaning of the case. Any other approach shall drag you into long researches, probably not fruitful !

As a heirloom I would just have it serviced and use it. I like the look, keep it as your ancestors wore it.
