·While there are times that I put acquiring on hold, I hope I never lose the fascination with artful mechanical watches that drew me to the hobby in the first place.
For some it's about the goal, and for some it's the path- I love the hunt.
Just had a count up and I have 16 watches.
Light weight. Heck it's a bad month if I don't buy 16 watches. 😁
However that's my problem. I'm addicted to hunting down deals. I won't merely buy the watch I spot and like. If possible I'll buy everything the guy has then worry about what to do with them later. Eventually I have to wholesale loads of them off to dealer pals and sell package deals on forums hoping I can manage to keep a few prizes for myself.
I find I'm safest at large markets like the Chelsea NYC weekend gig, as there are watch dealers with large inventories, thus cancelling out my cowboy tendency to blurt out "how much for everything?"
