Anyone else have dreams/nightmares about losing/damaging/getting their watch stolen?

This has been happening to me occasionally ever since I got my Sea-Dweller (yes-most expensive of my collection). Anyone else have experiences to share?

I have a personal article insurance policy. This allows me to use my stress dreams to worry about work and family.

If you trade it in for a Submariner, this will stop.

The meaning of a dream is often a bit different than one might expect. Google dreams about having possessions stolen and you may be surprised.

So I dreamt that my watch was on a train going through a tunnel …

I dreamt that I actually mowed my grass wearing a Speedmaster and it survived with no issues.

Every time I ship a watch, I take all care possible but I have nightmares about some organized crime group pulling an Italian Job style heist on my package. By the time it arrives, I’m usually happier than the guy receiving it that I can finally sleep well again.

I have had very, very few nightmares in the last 20 years, and the few that I have had have involved something bad happening to my children. I'm not sure the value of the watches I wear actually registers to me as value; they're just part of what I wear.

That said, if I didn't have small children it's quite possible my dreams would be different

Oddly towing a boat on a dirt corrugated road for miles I always have thoughts of catastrophe and am on edge, but on the way back on the same road it’s never an issue or thought. 😁
(My trailer is bullet proof nowadays and probably way over engineered for the job)

Automatons, creepy clockwork dolls and elevators what get smaller the higher they go, and never stop at the floor you need them to.

Moving out of the house, all my books, there is not enough room for the last load, and the books keep multipying. Sometimes it is not books, but watch parts or watches. Often it is a hidden room, full of antiques or vintage junk.

Dreams no, but when I got my second Omega and thus was suddenly always leaving one at home, the worry about being robbed increased a little. I could also add it to my insurance but it's less about the money and more about the sentimental value, each of my pricier watches represents a life stage or milestone.

You say that, but I used to have a recurring dream about my teeth falling out until I had a wisdom tooth removed and the dentist said my teeth were in great shape - since then, the dreams completely stopped. Sometimes they're pretty literal.

if after your dreams, you get your grail watch, do you stop?
Never. There’s always another out there waiting.
