This turner up today and I’m rather ecstatic! It came with its original Isofrane with Omega buckle, boxed with papers and service receipt. I’ve wanted one of these for years, so I’m rather happy it finally happened.
Nice watch! Looks very similar 😀 to my Lemania Newport. I think it was also sold at least as an Heuer & Aquastar.

Yesterday I saw a store selling Yema reeditions of familiar vintage models. At 38.5mm it’s quite wearable for a man or a woman, the movement is a Seiko Mecaquartz, at a price point of approx 450 euros I thought it’s pretty good value for a cheerful looking daily wearer if you’re not looking to invest 3k to 30k in a vintage example.
(PS I have no connection to the store or to Yema).

Those are fun! It does remind me though of how much I wish there were off-the-shelf mecaquartz movements with a 12-hour chrono subdial, instead of the 24-hour dial.

I might be really falling in love with yacht timers and central minutes chronographs. I find the layout much more legible than a minutes subdial. Not to mention, they are fun to look at.

Finally I last year found a good Heuer Skipper for myself. 15640 1st Execution NOS last year. The better pictures are by the seller...

I don´t like the reissues from Yema - and no, what Yachtingraf costs 3-30k? the prices went down a lot, you will find a good one from 2-2.5k up...depending which one you looking for. but sure, the quality of the vintage Yachtingrafs are not the best and for a daily wearer it´s a colorful pick.

Yachtingraf bunch.

Wow, quite the set! BTW, I find vintage Yema chronographs to be quite well made. Weren’t the Swiss ones made by Heuer?

What do you mean? Yachtingraf and LeJour (the brand for that in the US) are made in France. Heuer made only own ones like Mareographe, Skipper, Regatta.

A lot of the 9312s I’ve seen do not say France (or Swiss) on them. I have 3 in different flavors. I just figured they were made in Switzerland because all of their other watches say France on them. Regardless of where they are made, they are quite well made IMHO robust cases (that don’t seem to corrode like other makes.
