That's a cool collection! I'd love for others to share more examples.
For a long time, I really wanted a Heuer Regatta watch, but couldn't find one in good condition in my price range. For now, I'm enjoying an Omega Apnea, which isn't quite the same thing. I don't sail, but I really enjoy the color changing disks as a highly-legible count up / count down feature. For example: checking how long I'm resting between sets when training:

Doesn't work well at the moment, but when I was racing sailboats seriously it was my go-to, super-easy to use and to see at a time when everyone was squinting at their IronMans. My first serious watch, bought when I was in high-school, and still have a soft spot for it.

That's cool! A&F made some really interesting regatta timers and other chronographs back in the day. Any idea who did the manufacturing on this? I'm assuming that A&F didn't make these themselves.

·Heuer made all the seafarers for A&F apart from this one (probably). It’s based on a Mido Multichrono so best guess would be that Mido made it, but they don’t have archive records that confirm it. It predates the first Heuer one by around 15 years.

On the contrary, those are both great write-ups. Sadly, I was born to late to enjoy collecting any of these. The prices on some of those later models, like the 2446 Seafarer are sky high!

·I've raced and coached racing teams for dinghies and yachts for a while now. Have used a few yacht timers but always come back to this guy for its combo of ease of use and, let's face it, ace design:

·I love this Heuer Regatta Flyback. I don't have a yacht though. Luckily, it's good a timing lots of everyday things. 😀

·Great thread. Great examples above! Easing back in………My Yachct Timer says hi. I love this watch and love that the 10 minute counter still works perfectly!
