The first patent for a 5 ball watch timer was by Berna Watch Co in 1913, a stopwatch and chronograph manufacturer. Pocketwatch ofcourse . Berna was later bought by the owners of Leonidas, who continued the brand until the 50`s when it merged with Heuer and that is how Heuer got involved. Some cool racetimers as well And some lovely, lovely, valjoux chronographs, like mine ; Thanks !
