Belgian cartoonist Hergé " Moon Explorers " books came out in 1953 & 1954, while the Speedmaster Tintin was introduced 2013, so no anniversaries there...

Reverse panda I reckon. I think, as has already been eluded to, this will be it.

Panda dial on gold is ugly, IMO. I hope that's not the ST release.

Only reason Omega is not making limited editions anymore is because of $$$. Why make 19xx watches that sell for 10k when you can make 100k watches that sell for 10k.

I sold a couple of pieces before Christmas with the intention of waiting for the right deal to come along, I think a racing dial new release would have my trigger finger twitching.

Anyway, looking forward to Tuesday, hoping for an interesting #SpeedyTuesday event with some attention to the manned spaceflight legacy of the Omega Speedmaster...

I believe it’s this one. Saw it from Reddit but post already deleted (was a zoom call with names on it lol) could still see it on google tho. Looks like “maybe lacquered black dial”, plated hands, plated indices, white subdials. To me it’s a day one credit card slams… finally a regular production run of the speedy Tuesday!

What will be special about it besides the panda and lacquered background?

is it a special version about Speedy Tuesday? i mean, there should be something special on it (like words or elements) , but i can't see it from the dial. it looks like just a normal dial. maybe onyx? like the platinum 321?

Omega's new policy is to launch new standard collector's watches and maintain them long-term. The model of releasing limited or numbered editions will be reserved for very specific occasions, if they ever return to it... or simply release something special in a limited production format. This strategy may be more or less to everyone's liking, but it leads the brand to mature and build a solid, long-term catalog for its most important collection, the Speedmaster Moonwatch.

Nope it's a regular production and will be in the catalogue for the foreseeable future.

i guess i know what it will be. a standard steel version and a high-end moonshine gold version, both with black lacquer dial and white sub dials, 3861 movement and case back. i should say i have been expected for special version for a long time , but...ah..another regular "color changing game" fine...
