Cool! My sales guy doesn't know anything but is asking around for me!

At least whatever it is won’t be a swatch. The picture of snoopy intrigues me though.

Obviously it is a speedmaster. But now the questions are what and when?
Ok the when question is quite simple: very soon.
Regarding that what.....

I hope not because flippers will enter a zillion forms to get as many tickets in as possible.
How about a 24-48 hour order window with 30-50% deposit and they will make a many as ordered ? Therefore not limited, as per new Omega policy, but just limited production and that will help to keep out those nasty scalpers.
There are ways to protect the lottery process. Entries with the same email address and/or physical address are eliminated automatically. Some would find ways around the system, but the average Joe could do the same to some extent.

An order window with a hefty deposit could work, but some scalpers will still try to get as many as possible. The deposit may slow them down to some extent.

Interested to see how this one will play out considering the CEO has said they will stay clear from new limited editions. Most likely will just be a limited production like the Snoopy.

MB&F’s M.A.D. Editions has the best system and is the absolute way to go for any brand. You sign up for the raffle with your credit card, which puts a hold on it, and if you win, the amount is charged and you can’t cancel.

If the new one has any sort of Snoopy theme it will carry a premium. Snoopy 50th is now $11,900, so I wouldn't expect any less for a new edition. Curious to see what's ejected out of the factory.

If it truly is meant as a release for the fans, I’m quite taken with the idea proposed by @Ron_W , where Omega simply takes the time to produce everything they sold within a defined ordering window - similar to the Studio Underdog × Fears (Mim0sa) collaboration from a few months ago.

That approach serves the fan base while still preserving a degree of exclusivity, since the model is discontinued immediately after the subscription period closes. That said, I can’t shake the feeling that Omega is more inclined toward an “endless” multi-year limited run, Snoopy-style.😂

In my opinion it will probably be a release like the white dial Speedy or the FOIS. Maybe not immediately available for everyone, but after a few months not so hard to aquire. Interesting to see if it will have the same sales strategy as the Snoopy3 or the 321, which means very limited at first. I don't think it will be limited to lets say 2000 pieces and be sold out in an instant, where the only way to get one after that will be on the grey, as seen on ST2. And still; if it's steel only but a special edition it will be 10k - 12k as said above.

On reflection it'll have to be something really special to make me buy another steel 3861, since I have all four current ones.

Yeah, I'm very much in that situation. I looked over my collection of speedies and find myself needing to be knocked out to pick up another.

To me, it seems too coincidental for it to be anything but an ST3 given the timing of the event in Hong Kong...

The teaser image is very red, and i think i see 2 planets.
So a Mars theme version and that Snoopy is a pilot but it is not a special Snoopy year afaik ? Snoopy+St3 makes no sense to me either
So i am thinking a Speedmaster Pilot version Marsian style !

Red Hot !

I don't think a new Speedmaster is a surprise. That's routine. Sorry, I had to be a smart ass.

Well spotted. 😂 It’s the ultimate evolution of the “error 220” bezel. Collector edition!
