Sorry for the grime. I've been occupied with a lot of turmoil for the past few months and this is my first post for awhile. My preoccupation interrupted my biking schedule, so my maiden ride of the summer (on a 90F afternoon) was tough and left my timer grimy.

I use the timer, the countdown time and PETs pretty often on mine. I also use a second time zone often enough to be happy with the feature. I'll never part with this one:

Just checked my X-33 Solar Impulse timekeeping rate for the first time since I had my battery changed, and it only gained 2.1 seconds in 176.4 days, which means it's running just +4.34 seconds/year. Compared to one of my most accurate watches, my Rolex Hulk will lose that much time every month, and my BLNR will gain about that much per month.

Looking at it another way, it gained about +0.36 seconds/month, whereas my Tudor Black Bay Red will gain that much each day.

A post like this still needs pics. My X-33 SI2 and the X-33 Skywalker that I gave my son for graduation.

Great pics of a great watch!

Does anyone use the double ridged Kevlar strap? I have always wanted to get one.

The double ribbed is a Coramide (not Kevlar) strap which Omega make as a pin buckle version and a deployment strap.

Hi, I'm Zach. First post here on Omega Forums. I love my Gen 1 X-33. My first and so far only Omega watch. I'm a huge space geek and the connection to the Space Shuttle and ISS was enough for me to buy one. Here is mine, which is currently on a replica NASA strap (again, space geek).

great topic as the X-33 remains the only Speedmaster being "repaired" in space as ISS 06 astronaut Donald Pettit replaced the crown on his NASA issued wrist watch in microgravity 馃憤

I would really like to add an example to my collection. Being a total space nut and loving the design, I need one! Great pictures all around.

Anyone tried these with the Omega NATO straps? I'm thinking of either the black with grey or red trim.

I really enjoy my x-33 skywalker, it looks good, wears nicely despite its large size and keeps perfect time.
In my watch box it,serves to,set time on the other watches when needed.

Hi all, good to see so much interest in both earlier generations of the X-33 and the Skywalker (and limited editions of it). I'm currently trying to make my mind up on a new Omega. I had a Moonwatch, which I wore at sea when I was in military service. It was lovely to look at, but savagely bad timekeeping and the fragility / easy scratch pickup of Hesalite means I won't buy another. Now, my choice is between a Skywalker and a Seamaster 300. Here's my question to you folks who already invested - have you ever felt like you'd bought a very expensive, titanium G-Shock? My worry is that I'll see it that way if I buy one, as I already have a G-Shock which does multiple time zones and all that stuff (no MET/PET of course). Also, can the battery be user-replaced without wrecking the warranty, or does it have to go back to an AD/Omega to be taken care of? In theory I could buy both over time, but I'd honestly rather just buy one and use it all the time (possibly with the G-Shock as a backup). It's a tough one! Finally, has anyone managed to adapt the X-33 titanium bracelet to be expandable in the same way that the more recent Omega bracelets are? Any thoughts appreciated.

A moonwatch at sea during military service?
It was fragile, picked up scratches and you wont have another? polywatch.
I've never once felt my seamasters were expensive g shocks nor for that matter particularly expensive given what I got.
You might best be served thinking a bit more about just what you want or need and then doing a bit more reading. You appear to be all over the place.
