路There is no such thing as free healthcare, education etc. When people say "free", what they really mean is "free at the point of delivery". Unless you run a theoretically perfect Communist model, it all has to be paid for from somewhere and unless to Government has a magical money tree, that means the general population. What a society must decide is whether it is paid for from general taxation, insurances or directly levied on the users.....or some mixture of all three.
With a rising population and increasing numbers of elderly with sometimes complex medical needs, it's a very knotty problem to which I don't have a simple solution.
