Me too! Enough Omega content to satisfy this forum I hope and none of that "wow look at me on the internet with people across (a microscopically small part of) the global population hanging on my every word" which comes elsewhere. I'll watch professionally produced stuff but anything which smacks of "in my bedroom while mom's out shopping for groceries/waiting for pizza delivery" has no interest for me.
Thanks this was well done. Makes me wish I could handle some 50s seamasters in person, I'd like to buy one for my father.
Retro Space HD with digitally cleaned up NASA Apollo footage Example of 1968 Apollo 8 footage with James Lovell as usual wearing the watch on the right wrist and Frank Borman sometimes wearing it over his left sleeve... .
We have more videos in the pipeline for our Omega Forums YouTube channel. It'll definitely be worth keeping an eye on: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCtVj3FkBTioU2Amuf1Xzduw
This was an interesting discussion of the basics of how several different kinds of escapement work. Starts with the Swiss lever and goes on to cover some others, including the coaxial. I learnt something new from this discussion - I had never heard of a remontoire before (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Remontoire).
Hey OF, Just started something myself, needs a lot of work, but will do my best to make better videos of my watches. Like, comment and subscribe if you enjoy them! Always open to feedback. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC7xRuNFf9lWfsf7liApyldA
Since I just saw this thread, thought I’d take the opportunity to plug my fledgling channel! Here is the video I made after they announced the new ultraman a few weeks ago.
I do enjoy the variety of personalities and the format of Hodinkee's Talking Watches. The variety of collectors and collections makes me feel normal
This fellow from Perth, Australia is doing a great job with his videos. I particularly enjoyed the macro shots in this one, although it was a little disappointing to see the quality control issues he found on the watch...
I like watchbox reviews - keeps it about the facts, leaves person opinion at bay. Archieluxury - hard to watch but quite humorous, I think he looks like Shrek, but way too opinionated. Urban Gentry - this guy is ok but his videos are pretty verbose and he talks slow so I usually run them at 2x speed.
I really like Armand The Watch Guy. He has a good presentation style and covers new, vintage, and micro-brands. https://m.youtube.com/channel/UCHIX-5xM8Yn5CcPgizFC5Ug
If you are a Seiko guy, (I am not especially, but if you are) you should love Spencer Klein. I could probably do without the wife in nearly every video, but he seems very knowledgeable and down to earth. I have been watching him and Adrian on Bark and Jack a lot lately. I have had about all I can take of the Urban Gentry. At first I just laughed at TGV and then decided, maybe that is really just him.....then decided, nope.....he is just a pompous, posing @ss. So, back on topic, the link to Spencer is: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=Spencer+Klein If someone has already mentioned him and I missed it, I apologize for the redundancy. McK
